Job Description:
The Director of Product Management will be responsible for leading a team of product managers and maximizing the growth and success of Polycom's Integrated portfolio of products. This role will report into the VP of Product Management, Group Endpoints.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Develop the business and product strategy for the Large Room solutions for the enterprise, education, and government markets.
• Drive this strategy into the organization, working with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations
• Develop the Go-to-Market partnership plan, this includes technology and distribution partners – including companies like Microsoft, Zoom, LogMeIn, …
• Work closely with customers and ecosystem partners to vet and understand solution requirements
• Influencing and working closely with cross-functional leadership in execution of the various components of the strategy to meet and exceed growth goals
• Own product portfolio road map and life cycle management
• Orchestrate and influence cross functionally to optimize the P/L based on strategy
• Develop and manage team of product managers.
• Maximize revenue and margin on the products, closely monitoring competitive market forces
Job Requirements:
• Experience in the Communications industry, exposure to Video Communications a plus
• 10 years of product management/product development experience and 5 years of management experience managing a team
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Proven ability to execute and influence to achieve the right outcomes in a matrix organization
• Startup mentality/experience with a 'can-do' attitude
• Execution oriented
• Ability to attract, hire, and retain top talent
• Understanding of financial modeling and P/L
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably in Engineering or a technical field, MBA preferred
