Job Overview
This leader of Market Development will collaborate with a cross functional team of marketing & sales professionals responsible for the go-to-market strategy, development, execution and results across all channels and solution based customer programs. This leader will also drive the marketing effectiveness of all SFS marketing campaigns and activities to harmonize and focus the campaign deliverable and to ensure measurable impact. The position works closely with the Business Unit’s functional leaders & across the organization to deliver world class experience to our customers and exceed the Business Unit revenue and EBITA growth objectives.
Responsibilities
• Engages with eCommerce and Fulfillment Business Leader Executives– develops and executes C-suite and high level business executive engagements for the generation of sales and marketing development programs. Leads in deal development and sales closure across the commercial process.
• Builds regional business vision and strategy for accessing customers across the e-Commerce business landscape –Work closely with the Marketing & Solutions team and other senior SFS leaders to define a vision for market growth, design business unit strategies to actively pursue new market opportunities to grow the business globally; Lead the implementation of focused and prioritized growth strategies for the business unit working collaboratively with BU marketing and solutions colleagues; Lead the effort to develop customer centric global go-to-market programs and tools that are differentiated and provide increased, measurable value to targeted customer segments, aligned to the growth strategies; Deep understanding of key drivers of stakeholder value creation (OpEx, integration, digital, tech partnerships) and how they influence SFS portfolio strategy and business model design.
• Responsible for the P&L , Strategic Fulfillment Solutions –key senior leader overseeing the revenue and profitability goals of the SFS Business unit. This includes setting of revenue goals with leadership, supporting the growth plans, and management of the costs to serve for meeting those plans. Identifies and implements activities for maximizing revenues from eCommerce customers.
• Partners across teams and functions to drive innovation– works closely with Research & Development, Portfolio & Marketing Managers, and Sales teams to prioritize initiatives and cultivate robust innovation pipeline that exceeds existing customer expectations and unmet needs; proposes and tests new channels, deliverables, formats and ideas; shares insights and best practices to enhance overall division performance
• Delivers Return on Investments– prioritizes project queue to maximize impact on revenue; launches new initiatives/products in partnership with R&D, the portfolio management team, and sales; tracks and monitors the effectiveness of campaigns through testing, metrics, and analytics; grows revenue and market share; Accountable to achieve KPI targets as mutually established with the business and regularly reports to Executive and Senior Management on target performance; Assesses business model options and capitalize on market trends to substantiate long-term business prospects.
• Leads and influences Product Care team to excellence – Work closely with regional SFS teams to build and execute sales & marketing programs within their region; Demonstrates cohesive leadership & implement and manage productive operating mechanisms to ensure BU alignment, strong communication and measureable marketing results for the business.
• Identifies / Leads key acquisition activities – Directly oversee the evaluation of technology or providers of solutions for acquisition and integration into the Strategic Fulfillment business.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business desired. Background in engineering or related discipline is a plus. M.B.A. preferred
• Minimum of 10 years professional sales and marketing management, with business management and leadership experience.
• Ability to travel overnight
• Can clearly articulate complex ideas
ADDITIONAL:
• Demonstrated capacity for developing marketing strategies that can scale across multiple markets, and expertise supporting and enabling a sales organization
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to successfully grow revenue and market share
• Demonstrated ability to champion change and influence and facilitate results in a complex organization
• Extensive experience in consumer segmentation, database marketing, and campaign management
• Excellent relationship building skills complemented by the proven ability to work with others, especially across team boundaries
• Strong leadership, creativity, and planning/execution skills
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with creative flair to bring fresh ideas into product positioning and marketing campaigns
• Intellectually curious, strong attention to detail, self-motivated, can manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to be self-directed and handle ambiguous environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Analytics and business analysis experience is a plus
