Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Director of Analytics – Field Sales to join our Sales team at Altria Group Distribution Company in Atlanta, Georgia.
This position will direct the strategy, design, development and execution of complex analytical tools and dissemination of analytics throughout the Southeast Region. This person will share meaningful insights to influence our operating company and trade marketing strategies and manage a team of analysts.
What will you do?
• Lead long-term field sales analytics strategy and organizational design
• Develop strategies for analytical methods to support field sales organization
• Build and enhance tools to analyze data by geography, key accounts, key brand plans, and retail stores
• Proactively deliver state level, market and key account insights to influence region strategy and execution
• Provide direction on development of measurement and monitoring tools to evaluate effectiveness of trade programs, product promotions, business enhancements funds and assortment opportunities across multiple operating companies and brand initiatives
• Manage activities and development of direct reports providing support for the Southeast Region
• Collaborate with HQ teams to drive improved processes, data integrity and insight sharing as well as to build analytic development experiences, content and programs
• Connect with senior stakeholders across the Company to share insights and recommendations influenced by data
• Identify, test and implement new tools, methodologies, and processes for entire Sales organization
Specific Skills
What we Seek?
• Bachelor's degree required; Marketing or Applied Mathematics preferred
• 10+ years relevant experience in a sales analytics role, preferably in CPG
• Prior organizational leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills
• SAS/ R coding/ Tableau
• Highly developed analytical capabilities, data science experience, and algorithm development
• Proven track record of developing creative analysis to identify business opportunities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate abstract technical concepts with non-technical audiences
