Position title: Director, Finance - Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A), Technical Apparel
Location: Rohnert Park, CA
Reports to: SVP, GM - Technical Apparel
Job Summary:
The Director, Finance- BP&A for Technical Apparel (Marmot and Exofficio) will report to the SVP GM of the Technical Apparel business with functional dotted line reporting to the CFO of the Outdoor and Recreation Division.
Job Description:
• Lead all financial planning, reporting, and decision making for the Technical Apparel business
• Act as end-to-end owner of key financial operating cycles including ownership for ME close process, Budgeting and Forecasting cycles, Monthly & Quarterly reporting rhythm
• Act as end-to-end owner of financial controls, analysis, and decision making surrounding commercial operations including pricing, trade investment, mix management, and new product development
• Act as end-to-end owner of financial controls, analysis, and decision making surrounding supply chain operations including sourcing, distribution & warehousing, working capital management, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
• Lead analysis and dialogue surrounding financial results and projections with global business management; Identify and prioritize opportunities while mitigating risks necessary for delivering plans; Identify and present choices and considerations for alternative outcomes
• Serve key constituents of SVP GM of the Technical Apparel business and the CFO of the Outdoor and Recreation Division. Build strong knowledge and relationships across functional and regional leadership within the Outdoor and Recreation Division
• Collaborate with financial peers and direct reports to ensure on-going governance, control, and appropriate financial perspective and understanding of all business affairs
• Evaluate and enhance capabilities around processes, reporting, and controls
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in finance/accounting.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Planning & Analysis, or comparable discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working globally across a large multinational organization.
• Experience in Apparel or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment preferred.
• Evidence of strong accounting skills required; CPA preferred.
• Significant experience with SAP and Hyperion is strongly preferred.
• Experience across financial disciplines (BP&A, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Shared Services) preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong finance teams that are respected partners of the business.
• Ability to assess risks and opportunities within complex business situations.
• Willingness to travel in the performance of duties (approximately 20%)
