Position Details
SUMMARY
The Sr. HR Director leads and delivers HR functional objectives for large, complex internal customer teams to drive performance of human capital.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides significant input to the strategic direction of the company by aligning functional objectives with HR Strategy/people capabilities. Communicates needs of functional stakeholders to help establish work priorities.
• Tracks, monitors and holds groups/individual accountable for the performance against stated goals. Leads the human resource activities that support and strengthen the organization's philosophy, objectives, and legal requirements.
• Play a key role in coaching leadership at multiple levels through significant change, provides candid input, counseling and thought leadership. Provides advice and direction on change initiatives, assesses organizational capabilities and designs programs and actions to address needs and intervene in problem areas. Provides coaching to leaders to improve their capabilities in leading teams and managers effectively through the change process.
• Leads and/or oversees confidential investigations of issues as needed.
• Ensures the alignment of HR functional action plans to deploy and achieve goals and initiatives. Establishes measures and reports on the quality of HR services utilizing best practice metrics.
• Assist Corporate Functional Leaders in managing performance through strategic plan implementation, goal deployment, coaching and performance improvement plans. Develop succession plan and actions following.
• Establish manpower plans, data, metrics to support operation's needs. Determines skills needed and coordinates long term pipeline planning with the Talent Acquisition Function. Translates manpower plans to recruitment strategies in coordination with the Talent Acquisition function. Coordinates and establishes programs to develop people capabilities.
• Leads the development of programs to maximize human capital performance, utilizing best practices in TM, work systems, performance management, and first tier supervision and management capabilities development.
• Partner with SSB HR leadership to develop and implement needed remuneration and other reward strategies, systems and processes to attract, motivate and retain organizational talent.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Bachelor's Degree, graduate degree (SPHR certification a plus)
• 15+ years progressively responsible HR leadership experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related field
• Ability to work in a challenging, customer centric environment.
• Computer proficiency with intermediate spreadsheet, data management skills.
• Applied knowledge of Safety and Workers Compensation programs.
• Minimal Travel
