Job Description:
Accountable for developing and driving worldwide strategy for movement of goods to support global sourcing activities, manufacturing operations, regional distribution centers and product centers, shipments to customers and reverse logistics with a customer centric focus
Responsibilities:
• Will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of our comprehensive end-to-end supply chain strategy
• Design and oversee fulfillment operations with a focus on effective delivery to each market, aggressively managing total costs, enabling scale, driving timely and quality service, and supporting regulatory compliance
• Key point of contact for HQ cross functional leaders and international market leadership to support overall company operational and customer experience objectives. Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain shared vision, strategy and focus
• Conduct analysis and develop recommendations on various logistics strategy projects that involve complex cost/benefit tradeoffs (number, location and sizing of distribution facilities, outsourcing vs in house fulfillment and distribution)
• Determine and drive optimal transportation modes (ocean, air, LTL/FTL), high risk shipments, etc
• Build relationships with product/packaging engineer and product management to ensure protection of freight and parcels during transportation
• Develop executive presentations communicating logistics vision, plans and on-going updates of logistics projects to gain buy-in and drive engagement with key stakeholders
• Drive global standardization of key processes and metrics where efficiencies can be found. Deploy a common set of KPIs across markets and share best practices from market to market.
• Embrace change management as we look to reinvent and transform elements of our supply chain required to scale for the future
• Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to logistics team with execution of projects; set performance goals and provide on-going coaching of team members to achieve career objectives, cultivate a high performance culture. Build a leadership pipeline throughout the organization and assist with this in each international market from an operational perspective.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years leading international operations, logistics and warehouse management teams
• Bachelor degree required, advanced degree strongly preferred
• Strong general business acumen, including proven ability to see the big picture, develop vision and strategy and lead a team to successfully accomplish related objectives
• Deep understanding of efficient transportation warehouse, fulfillment and inventory management supporting retail and direct to consumer sales
• Strong knowledge of logistics management systems
• Experience in import/export management
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• International travel up to 6 trips per year, some domestic travel also
