Director of Product Marketing, Mobile Computing - Retail Channel

As part of the Mobile Computing (Tablets & PC) business organization, you will lead strategy and tactical game plans to drive revenue, market share, and profitability for the National Retail Channel. As the strategic leader for the category you will partner with product planning, consumer marketing and HQ to develop a strong category vision and game plan. You will lead development of growth driving initiatives in each retail and carrier outlet. Your partnership with sales teams to build and execute promotional plans to ensure consumer awareness, adoption, and retailer prioritization of the product portfolio is key. You will also coordinate and collaborate with marketing and product planning to ensure successful product launches and sell-through initiatives to drive success. Your leadership to drive operational performance for assigned categories, including supply and financial forecasting and budgetary management, ensuring key metrics are maintained including forecast accuracy and hitting management plan targets will be pivotal.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
• Accountable for revenue, market share, and budget performance for mobile computing products (tablets, PCs & HMD (head mounted displays) / VR devices) ensuring top line and bottom line performance goals are met
• Lead development and execution of retail growth (national retail channel, big box retailers, clubs etc.) initiatives including:
• Partnering with sales to develop and execute promotional plans to generate consumer demand
• Identifying new business development opportunities and programs
• Providing marketing development fund support and program management
• Product launch and sustain activities
• Sales partnership to ensure prioritization of initiatives
• Lead sell-in of new products to accounts along with support from the account teams.
• Work closely with product planning on innovation roadmap and portfolio strategy.
• Maintain close and frequent working relationship with SEA sales, product planning and SEA marketing support to optimize sell thru initiatives.
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances across the industry
• Regular presentations and reviews with customers to develop joint strategies and tactics for growth.
• Develop and maintain promotional, marketing development funds, and overall budget for product portfolio.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on the competitive environment. Formulate tactics to anticipate and respond to the competition.
Position Requirements:
The Director of Product Marketing will need to have excellent communication skills, demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills. This role is based in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's Degree in related field from an accredited college or university
• 10+ years of related experience in sales or marketing - full P&L experience highly preferred.
• Mobile industry experience highly preferred.
• Must be able to write, read, analyze and interpret technical product and marketing materials.

• Experience in working with retail partners or on retail accounts such as Best Buy, Walmart etc.
• Demonstrated executive acumen with the ability to influence internal and external senior level stakeholders
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced work environment
• Plan, organize and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
• Read and interpret product documents, media materials and contracts or related documents based on corporate legal and marketing standards and philosophy.
