Sales Enablement is a strategic and dynamic team that equips customer-facing employees with the ability to consistently and systematically have valuable conversations with the right set of customer stakeholders at each stage of the customer's problem-solving life cycle, to optimize the return on investment for Samsung Electronics America.
They help bridge the gap between sales strategy and in-market execution by ensuring the sales teams possess the skills, knowledge, and processes to maximize every customer engagement. We are seeking a solutions-focused leader recognized for developing customer-centric digital strategies and translating into clearly defined initiatives to increase digital sales effectiveness and productivity. They must be adept at managing in a matrix environment and building relationships with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries. As such, the role provides access and exposure to cross-functional executives both internally and with key customers.
Position Description:
The Director, Digital Sales Enablement will provide the overall strategic direction for how we accelerate our sales team development in the digital space and enhance digital sales across the SEA B2C organization . This position will also provide thought leadership and technical insight to other SEA/HQ business leaders and contribute to SEA business strategy development and implementation with respect to digital sales; be responsible for the digital sales enablement programs to support Product Introductions, Business Development, and Customer Engagement. This role will also develop and manage and digital sales enablement tools for Samsung Electronics, and serve as the primary Solutions Enablement and Business Innovation expert within the organization.
Sales Enablement Objectives:
• Certify and support enhancement of the digital skills, knowledge and sales readiness of the Samsung Electronics Americas (SEA) Business to Consumer (B2C) Sales Organization
• Leverage the ecosystem to develop and launch digital sales enablement programs to accelerate volume and share growth in retail channels
• Identify and implement digital sales enablement tools that support revenue generating activities including: Customer Engagement, Account Planning, Product Launches, Negotiating to Value, Leveraging Insights and Analytics, and Cross Functional Leadership
Responsibilities:
• Spearhead strategic digital sales enablement initiatives designed to elevate customer engagement
• Design and implement specific Digital Sales development curriculum for key sales roles
• Development, implementation, and measurement of digital sales enablement training programs across retail channels
• Lead team of Field Engagement Managers in deployment of tools and platforms
• Lead account teams in implementation of Digital Customer Annual Planning process
• Support and engage Sales Account Team Leadership in strategic customer development initiatives
• Partner with Product Marketing, Retail Operations, Category Management, and other customer facing organizations on cross functional digital sales enablement platforms.
• Partner with B2B Sales Enablement Team on cross channel strategies
• Build a COE of Customer Engagement best practices and use cases
• Establish cohesive, consultative relationships with senior sales leadership, customer team leadership and the ecosystem that supports them.
• Serve as a key point of contact for the Learning and Development organizations on delivery of Digital Sales Capability initiatives.
• Develop and manage the relationship with B2B sales enablement team
Necessary Skills / Attributes
• Bachelor’s Degree +15 years of Related Sales Experience (Digital Sales, Digital Sales Strategy, Account Leadership, Retail Operations, Sales Operations,)
• 5+ years of experience leading and/or supporting sales teams in fast paced environment
• 5+ years of experience developing customer facing strategies
• Prior experience managing digital sales, solutions, marketing and or enablement organizations required
• Ability to develop strategy and program manage implementation
• Executive Presentation experience (C-Level audience) required
• Must have demonstrated project and program management skills
• Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite and extensive use of Windows presentation software
Additional Requirements:
• Prior experience in a telecommunications environment a plus
• Have a high level of energy as well as strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and interest in creating new development models/tools and uncovering untapped enablement potential
• Possess project management skills and the ability to effectively engage sales teams through being a charismatic motivator and thought leader
• Travel is required, approximately 25% - 30%, to engage field sales teams, and to deliver enablement sessions to key partner/customer industry events and regional offices.
• The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds.
