Finance Director, Revenue & Marketing
Summary
The Finance Director, Revenue & Marketing will serve as a key member of the FP&A leadership team at Green Dot and as the finance business partner to Sales leaders, CMO and drive cross-departmental planning processes, business analysis, reporting and ad-hoc projects. This position reports directly to the CFO of Products & Solutions FP&A. The Director will ensure budget targets are being achieved and ensure complete transparency and accuracy in forecasts. The Director will be responsible for value-added business analyses as well as provide visibility through meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful decision making and predictability. The right candidate will possess strong aptitude for financial planning and analysis and being able to understand and articulate business impact beyond numbers. The Director will work independently and interact with all levels of the company, including but not limited to executive, senior, and department management. The ideal candidate will have the ability to consistently deliver work products of high quality with excellent attention to detail within tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
• Establish strong partnership with Sales and Marketing leaders, provide business partner support and influence the organization to ensure all financial commitments are met
• Drive an efficient and comprehensive planning process for developing rolling forecasts and multi-year strategic plans that links to corporate objectives
• Develop and monitor the Sales & Marketing teams annual budgets and monthly forecasts including managing expenses and providing recommendations to the business partners
• Develop consistent metrics and reporting package that surface key business trends, performance versus budgets and forecasts and comprehensive executive level explanations of variances
• Provide standardized frameworks and lead financial modeling of ROI analysis for marketing initiatives, acquisitions, product profitability, customer lifetime value by product, cost of acquisition and other ad-hoc financial projects
• Assist with month close processes to ensure accurate reflection of business activities and associated spend
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and drive disciplined compliance to budgets
• Help develop business review, executive presentations and Board of Director materials
• Identify and drive process improvements across the FP&A organization and lead projects to enhance reporting and analytical rigor and infrastructure
• Ensure seamless flow of information between various Finance departments and foster a collaborative relationship with all stakeholders
• Help develop and grow the capabilities and talent of the Finance teams
• Exhibit a can-do and willingness to take on cross-functional responsibilities and assignments
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree with a business, finance or engineering emphasis preferred; MBA a plus
• Minimum 10 years of experience in analytical and strategic thinking role with special consideration given for prior experience within the investment banking, equity research, banking or software industry
• Demonstrated financial planning and budgeting skills in Online Sales finance and Digital Marketing domains
• Experience in effectively summarizing data into useful information using techniques to create dashboards and other graphical objects for executive management
• Must be comfortable dealing with large data sets with the ability to manipulate data and synthesize insights into thoughtful presentations
• Ability to communicate and present data and conclusions to a wider, non-financial audience
• Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills
• Proven ability to succeed in a high activity/pace environment and with managing associated stress
• Ability to multi-task and work with various departments
• Excellent computer skills – Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• Experience with cloud based planning systems
• Knowledge of SQL and BI/Visualization tools is a plus (i.e. Tableau, MicroStrategy)
