Shutterfly is seeking a highly motivated, strategic and action-oriented Corporate Development Director to both manage integration projects as well as evaluate future M&A opportunities. You will drive post-merger integration by ensuring cross-functional partners are meeting their deliverables. You will also help Shutterfly identify future M&A opportunities that best align with the Shutterfly corporate strategy and growth objectives. In this role you will report to the head of Corporate Development.
This role is highly entrepreneurial and cross-functional in nature and as such the candidate must demonstrate initiative and good project management skills, be able to thrive in a collaborative environment and possess the ability to foster strong internal and external business relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Support the strategic integration planning of a recent transformative acquisition, including the execution of the integration plan, ensuring deadlines are met, and risks are mitigated.
• Coordinate and project/task manage integration priorities internally and with the management team of the target company.
• Lead select synergy identification and tracking activities, facilitate working sessions to identify and quantify cost and revenue synergy opportunities.
• Spot and creatively solve complex, cross-functional operational issues.
• Lead the development of detailed integration plans and milestones.
• Assist in the creation and tracking of an integration budget.
• Prepare for regular integration execution update meetings (e.g., Executive Steering Committee).
• Continually refine best practices for integration consistent with the Shutterfly culture.
• Drive core internal projects related to M&A deal integration planning and performance measurement.
• Support future M&A opportunities through execution, negotiation, and due diligence.
Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree with strong emphasis on Finance, Business, Economics, or other related fields. MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of related experience. Proven analytical skills. Financial planning/forecasting and valuation experience.
• Intellectual agility. Great thinker on both a strategic and tactical level. Excellent decision-making skills and a result-oriented mindset.
• Can-do attitude and strong bias to action. Always seeking to improve through change and innovation. Extremely entrepreneurial and always generating ideas.
• Passionately quantitative/analytical and detail oriented.
• Proven success in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to collaborate actively & effectively on multidisciplinary teams.
