The Director of Enterprise Architecture reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for the creation and implementation of a world-class Enterprise Architecture (EA) foundation. In this role, you will provide innovative strategic technology direction and leadership to the business, pragmatic oversight of technology projects, and leadership in the planning and implementation of the entire technology base. As principle technologist, you will guide company decision-making relative to the use of appropriate technologies; timing for broad exploitation; timing to exit existing technologies; and will influence strategic partners in the direction that benefits Harley-Davidson, Inc.'s business needs.
Education Required
A bachelor's degree is required.
Experience Required
This role typically requires a minimum of 12 years related experience and a minimum of 5 years management experience highlighting:
• A proven track record and hands-on experience developing and implementing complex multi-tier enterprise class technology solutions, ideally gained in environments utilizing real-time data gathering, monitoring, data warehousing, internet, ERP and business intelligence systems integration.
• Experience leading and mentoring others; a track record of developing teams.
• Strong experience in client devices, back-end infrastructure, applications, Enterprise System Management, web development and monitoring.
• Demonstrated expertise managing and leading efforts across multiple systems, teams, and lines of business with proven ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly.
• Proven ability and desire to communicate the value of technology and change to business stakeholders.
• Strong ability to analyze problems logically and objectively, apply sound judgment in assessing possible solutions, meet tight deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities.
• Ability to develop plans and execute a complex effort involving the application of advanced technological knowledge.
• Effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to present technical findings in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred
• Experience in leading end-to-end project delivery, leveraging Agile or Waterfall practices
• PMP or K2 Certified
• TOGAF or similar EA framework certification
• Experience in delivery SAP projects, functional design or basis experience
• Experience in Salesforce technologies
