Position Duties
This position resides in Memphis and has administrative responsibilities for Memphis HVC’s. It reports directly to the Building Manager for that respective location with a dotted line reporting relationship to PS&L HR Regional Manager in Dearborn.
Job responsibilities include:
• Provide advice and counsel to the building manager relative to labor relations issues, including being an active member of the building operating committee.
• Maintain positive Union/Management relations.
• Lead UAW contract negotiations, implement and administer the Master and Local Collective Bargaining Agreements.
• Responsible of all aspects of hourly employee administration.
• Investigate and administer discipline.
• Investigate, prepare, and disposition grievances.
• Responsible for administration of Representative Compensation.
• Support Personnel Relations activities as required.
• Coordinate hourly recruiting and hiring as required.
• Support all Health and Safety activities as required.
• Coordinate case management activities as required.
• Coordinate local communications requirements.
• Frequent travel to handle tasks in assigned building locations.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years experience working at Ford Motor Company
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years Labor Relations experience
• 5+ years union contract negotiations experience
• 5+ years of experience working with the UAW
• 5+ years successfully represent Ford Motor Company and interface with government agencies and other external organizations.
• 5+ years of experience with delivering HR process improvement actions.
• Ability to guide and influence all levels.
• Demonstrated conflict management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills.
