WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
In your role as a Director of Customer Marketing at Kashi, you will be part of our success by:
• Creating direction and driving alignment with cross-functional leadership and delivering annual plans, national promotions, programs, tools and marketing communications; leading national retailing initiatives
• Overseeing the development and success of Customer Marketing Managers. Managing PDP process and providing ongoing feedback and development
• Initiating and developing measurable business marketing strategies to achieve financial objectives
• Supporting relationships between Customer Marketing Managers and National Account Managers, Field Sales and Sales Leadership
• Supporting P& L development, involvement with contract renewals and supporting key meetings
• Communicating direction to Kashi Leadership and Innovation teams for business development opportunities
• Supporting the design and delivering of educational initiatives (i.e. training) to sales, operator customers and trade for use in key segments
• Supporting key industry events and trade show participation
• Driving key division initiatives and supporting relevant segment product launches with customer insight, consumer need states and selling propositions
• Delivering volume and profit results that contribute to achievement of the division’s overall financial objectives
• Managing of a specific portion of marketing and overhead budgets
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Sales/Category Management, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree and significant years in Sales, Marketing and/or Sales related functions management
• Experience managing and developing people
• Knowledge and experience with translating industry trends, channel business dynamics, consumer dynamics and ability to develop integrated marketing communications plans to drive channel decisions that impact the organization
• Experience developing consumer and business-to-business programs/promotions and managing agency projects is required
• Comprehensive understanding of challenges associated with creating high impact national programs
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
• Experience and comfort making critical presentations to internal and external audiences
• Experience in developing customer and business strategies
• Ability to influence key groups both upward and laterally to accomplish established goals
• Experience managing budgets and multiple aspects of a business’ P&L
• Efficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Ability to help direct reports, prioritize and complete multiple assignments in a timely manner
• Comfortable handling customer issues and participating in selling activities
• Experienced in both leading and participating in a cross-functional team environment
• Ability to multi-task and manage effectively in a time-constrained environment
Preferred:
• MBA in related field
• Ability to assimilate raw research into sales presentations and strong business financial experience
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
30% travel is expected in the role
Extended work schedule may be required
