The Role:
Hitachi, one of the IT industry’s top global innovators, is looking for a seasoned market star to help us build our data center software brand. Our power portfolio of software leverages machine learning and collaborative AI to automate data center processes, eliminate risks to customer satisfaction and accelerate the move to a self-managing data center. As our data center software marketing director, you will be responsible for driving industry awareness and customer adoption of Hitachi’s AI operations software – both as a packaged software and an ‘as a service’ offering. You will work with sales and customers to understand the needs of customers and design high impact content that showcases our differentiated value. You’ll also integrate with product teams and sales to define future offerings and GTM strategies, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of global I&O teams.
This is a high energy role requiring a ‘start-up’ mind-set and the desire to work across organizational boundaries. Previous experience in developing data center marketing content and / or programs is required, as is a solid understanding of how businesses manage and monitor data center operations. Graphic design or videography experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
• Set direction and implement business plans for Hitachi’s data center software portfolio.
• Create awareness of Hitachi software solutions via traditional and social channels.
• Build outcome oriented messaging based on competitive and product feature analysis.
• Inform partners, sales teams and customers on the business benefits of our solutions.
• Create and drive successful attainment of key business indicators.
Qualifications:
• 8+ years of IT marketing experience in storage or data management software.
• 4+ years managing a team of marketing professionals.
• Experience setting and meeting measurable functional, operational and strategic goals.
• A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication and writing skills for business and technical audiences.
• Strong presentation skills and experience engaging groups of customers and internal executives.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging social media to drive awareness & customer engagement.
• Ability to think outside the box in resolving problems and exploiting market opportunities.
• A strong teamwork ethic and passion to work with others, driving Hitachi Vantara’s success.
