You are responsible for
• Source, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities for PHM, including for strategic partnerships, strategic investment, and M&A, primarily in North America
• Quarterback strategic deals as primary deal architect, negotiator, and executer.
• Assemble business cases and proposals relating to new PHM opportunities for executive evaluation, including new solution expansion, commercial alliances, and inorganic development.
• Accountable for working with PHM R&D and GTM leaders to drive deals that significantly advance both product and commercial roadmaps.
You are a part of
The Population Health Management Business Development team is part of the Population Health Management Business Group. Within this organization, the Business Development Team works closely with industry leaders as well as businesses and markets across Philips in growing our PHM strategy via organic and inorganic opportunities. The Director - Population Health Management New Ventures Development reports to the Head of Strategy and Business Development of the PHM Business Group.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
• Bachelor’s degree required; Relevant graduate degrees preferred (e.g., MBA, PhD)
• Minimum 10+ years overall work experience, with at least 5 years healthcare-specific experience
• Proven business development experience in the healthcare sector
• Strong visionary background in healthcare and/or healthcare technology, preferably with a strong personal network of market partners
• Proven deal experience in identifying, developing, and executing strategic transactions
• Expert understanding of how consumer & business value can be created through informatics solutions and professional services.
• A self-starter needing low level management time and attention to perform day to day responsibilities, and comfortable traveling on a 40-50% basis
• Strong negotiation skills to work with Philips senior management and partner peers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong result / goal-orientation.
• Standout colleague, able to succeed in matrix environment.
• Strong presentation skills - ability to deliver regular management updates in form of board presentations
