Director National Sales & Service (Field based)
Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies for Premier to meet assigned sales and profitability objectives;
• Provide a road map for customer contracting activity to drive sales growth to aligned suppliers;
• Manage the relevant communication and education to field, sales personnel and Support Office staff to assure understanding of contract elements and business objectives to provide service excellence;
• Maintain and strengthen the customer relationship by understanding and responding to customer needs and market conditions in a timely and effective manner utilizing appropriate resources as need;
• Coordinate with field organization to drive revenue objectives, contract compliance, brand alignment and customer satisfaction;
• Monitor utilization of contracts, division performance, and manage the resolution of supplier issues associated with contract pursuit and execution;
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with customers;
• Provide senior leadership information necessary to maintain field sales focus on customers and USF objectives;
• Frequent overnight travel required.
Qualifications
Education/Training:
• Bachelor's degree in related field or comparable experience required.
Related Experience:
• Minimum 5 years foodservice sales experience required;
• Demonstrated positive customer interfacing experience required;
• Prior national account experience preferred;
• Experience dealing with large regional or national multi-location accounts strongly desired;
• Advanced level of proficiency with Excel required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Strong interpersonal skills - relationship builder;
• Ability to leverage relationships to achieve business goals, strategic thinking skills, strong business acumen and business maturity required;
• Must have excellent oral/written communication skills and be well organized with strong follow through;
• Strong leadership and team building skills with proven results orientation also required.
