General Description
Set the vision for data infrastructure investments with an eye to building a future proof data platform that can support both structured and unstructured data. Design and develop reporting solutions, including static reporting, dashboards, ad-hoc reporting, and self-service solutions. Improve accuracy and timeliness of data and incorporate innovating visualization techniques to improve data usability. Responsible for hiring and developing a talented team to create a Business Intelligence powerhouse function. Coach, supervise, and mentor staff of professional analysts, engineers, and managers.
Necessary Skills / Attributes
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus seven (7) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in working with business and management teams to provide technical and strategic road-map for business intelligence area. Experience must include working with large data sets in an eCommerce environment; leading a team in Agile development process; utilizing Business Intelligence platforms and applications, including visualization tools, inclusive of Tableau; data management activities, including data extract, data load, and data schema design; managing reporting function, including Key Performance Indicators, Dashboards, and publishing through multiple channels; and working with Big Data technologies. Must have certification in Tableau, Microstrategy, or Qlikview. 15% domestic travel is required.
