Associate Director - Conference Services, The American Cub
Does the thought of providing guidance to cross functional leaders and their teams on the execution of revenue producing corporate events and wedding functions at a Five-Star resort appeal to you? Do you enjoy collaborating with multiple internal and external customers, providing Five Star corporate events across a variety of venues? If so, then the position of Associate Director - Conference Services at The American Club is for you!
Specific responsibilities include:
• Directing the day to day operations of the Conference Services and Floral departments
• Ensuring Five Star service levels are maintained for all Corporate Events, Weddings, Day Meetings and Special Events held within Destination Kohler
• Assigning Corporate Events, Weddings, Day Meetings and Sepcial events to Conference Service Managers to ensure proper workload and coverage
• Evaluating, developing and improving communications and operational systems in all areas of responsibility using quality and continuous improvement methods
• Staying abreast of emerging trends and industry best practices from our comptetive set
• Developing and maintaining relationships, and negotiating terms with outside vendors and regularly sourcing new vendors, for new product and service offerings
• Developing annual budgets for the Conference Service and Floral departments
• Developing specific sales plans and targets for the Conference Service and Floral departments
Skills/Requirements
• Three years leadership experience in a Conference Services/Meeting & Events capacity, in AAA Four or Five Diamond or Forbes Four or Five Star property
• Minimum of seven years hotel experience or equivalent
• Minimum of four year of college degree required, preferably in hospitality or business management
