General Description
The Director II (Mobile Supply Chain), is responsible for managing multiple Operations Departments and Product Categories on behalf of the Supply Chain Team for Samsung Electronics America. The Director II will define strategy and objectives, provide Executive level Briefing and Reports, and engage Customers (Internal and External) at the Executive Level. This position will also work with Direct Reports to ensure systems, processes, and resources are developed and maintained to ensure all service levels are met with the respective Business Units.
They will be responsible to Lead Department Managers and respective Staff. Executive-level Reporting and Early Warning. Demand Planning and S&OP with HQ. SCM Day with Sales & Marketing. Define and Execute Supply Chain Projects and Initiatives on behalf of the Supply Chain Team.
Necessary Skills / Attributes
• Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finance, or similar
• Minimum 15 years’ work experience in relevant field or equivalent
• 10+ years People Management experience
• Experience leading Managers across multiple Departments and Functions
• Fortune 500 / Global work experience a plus
• Fluency in Korean is helpful but not required
• Extensive background in Supply Chain, Forecasting, Planning, and Operations utilizing related tools and systems
• Must have excellent Communications skills and Cross-Functional Management ability at the Executive Level
• Strong Math, Communication, and Organizational Skills
• Excellent Attention to Detail
• Ability to interact with all levels of Management including Executives
• Must be able to consistently work outside of normal office hours and on weekends
• Some travel is required (~25-30%)
