Job overview and responsibilities
The in-region Director role serves as the Regional President’s key deputy, leading and executing the President's agenda with development and implementation of strategies to achieve regional initiatives. This position will focus on driving synergies in all go-to-market regional efforts, fostering strong cross-divisional communication and collaboration. The Director will provide thought leadership and local market expertise, as well as direction and counsel to the regional President. The position supports strategic planning and execution with stakeholders to ensure efforts are consistent with corporate strategic initiatives, leveraging cross-divisional resources in order to meet President’s needs.
• Executes on key initiatives to support regional strategy
• Represents regional President at key regional stakeholder meetings, including hub leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions
• Shapes President's agenda through cross-divisional influencing and collaboration
• Directs all ad hoc regional requests to ensure President’s time is focused on fostering influential relationships with key political and business leaders
• Leads key regional programs, managing and coaching local stakeholders
• Assists Presidents with internal/external issues, providing thought leadership and guidance
• Attends events and functions on behalf of regional Presidents
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Cross-organizational experience, demonstrated leadership in complex, high visibility situations, polished presentation skills, comfort interacting with external executives and government leaders
• Executive presentation skills, cross organizational influence, broad-based strategic skills, analytical skills, communication, financial acumen
• 5-10 years’ experience in the airline industry, government, community or social responsibility arena
Managing/overseeing large strategic initiatives
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
• MBA or advanced degree
