Director- Net Working Capital
IFF's Treasury function has an immediate need for a Net Working Capital Director based at corporate Headquarters in New York, NY. In this role, you will be charged with analyzing historic results, developing reporting and action oriented analytics based on current results, identify process improvements, developing corporate policies, and leading the implementation of both internal policy updates and external partnerships (financing) to unlock operating cash flow through net working capital improvements. The Director must fully engage across the commercial organization (A/R), the procurement organization (A/P) and the supply chain and operations organization (inventory management) to develop relationships and cross functional partnerships.
This role requires the ability to quickly come up to speed on IFF systems and will require the director to develop hard controls and approval and escalation process required to ensure compliance with approved corporate policies for payment terms, both from a customer and supplier standpoint.
Director will lead a team of financial and treasury analysts. Leadership skills and coaching will be critical to candidate’s success. Ability to work cross functionally will also be a critical skill for this role.
Required Skills:
• Business acumen, strong analytic skills
• Understanding of US GAAP and financial statements
• Strong interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills;
• Lead and evaluate the work of subordinates
• Adaptive to changing environment and business needs
• Banking relationships – supply chain financing as well as customer supply chain financing
• A strong understanding of how business decisions and policies impact the balance sheet
• Managerial Courage to challenge and partner with cross functional business partners
Required Experience:
• BA/BS Finance or Accounting required. MBA, CPA or other financial certification preferred
• 7 - 10 years in treasury management, accounting and business analysis activities.
• Prior experience in public/private accounting/auditing
• Experience working for global manufacturing organization strongly desired
• knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (including foreign currency translation);
• proven experience in working capital management, including developing banking relationships, partnering with business operators and finance colleagues to drive net working capital process and performance improvements across global organization
