Director, Financial Planning and Analysis Americas

We are currently searching for an experienced Director, Financial Planning and Analysis Americas to join our team located in Los Angeles, CAreporting directly to the CFO and supporting our Senior Vice President Americas Sales.

In this role, you will be integral to the continued growth of the company by providing strategic financial support and analysis to the America Regional Sales leadership. You will focus on financial analysis and forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and financial consulting. Analysis will include pricing, promotion, new product ROI, sales opportunity/risk identification, gross margin and inventory.
About the Job:
• Key member of the America’s Sales leadership team
• Thru direct management of a team of 1, you will manage and oversee the analytical engine of the company
• Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and reporting for the America’s region. Key member of the Sales and Operations Planning team working with Key leaders in Sales, Product Management, Marketing and Supply chain
• Work with key Sales and Product Management to develop and recommend pricing and promotion actions and analyze impact of pricing/promotion decisions
• Analyze gross margin and identify opportunities to leverage and risk mitigation actions
• Analyze inventory identifying potential supply gaps and minimizing excess and obsolete inventory
• Work with the sales team to manage selling expense including evaluation commission plan structure
• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, gross margin, and selling expenses
• Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
What you Need:
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong Financial Analytical and Accounting experience
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a mid to senior level finance position, with specific experience in financial and business intelligence systems and platforms, including Hyperion Planning, HFM, Tableau and SAP
• Leadership experience in sales finance including the sales and operations planning process
• Expert computer knowledge including financial systems and database applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, data warehousing, data mining, business intelligence, and other financial systems
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections

• Excellent communication skills. Effective communicator that can articulate clear analytical outcomes, direction and opportunities at all levels of the organization, including the Private Equity ownership
• Solid critical thinking and decision making skills with the ability to analyze and perform root cause analysis on business trends and provide senior leaders with a grounded view of current business trends
• Effectively Leads High-performing teams to work cross-functionally at various levels throughout the organization to drive meaningful change in the business
• Successfully deals with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment yet still delivers well thought-out and meaningful work
