Senior Director - Retail Marketing
Summary
The Senior Director of Retail Marketing serves as a liaison between Sales Management, Marketing and Product Management to provide key merchandising and in-store product presentation necessary to support strategic corporate objectives. This role will be responsible for identifying, validating and prioritizing opportunities to improve the consumer experience and increase sales at retail across all categories and channels of Green Dot’s retail business. This includes development of strategic marketing plans, promotions, effective integration and execution of all efforts at all retail locations.
This position requires strong creative and organizational skills, as well as the ability to evaluate opportunities with a financial focus. Strong visionary and leadership skills are critical to engage others in the successful execution of these retail programs.
Responsibilities
• Work with Brand Marketing, Creative team, and Sales team partners to deliver on-brand execution of elements to retailers, strong innovative ROI programs and to market the best in class programs in-store
• Develop and manage the Retail marketing budget to optimize return on investment and ensure marketing effectiveness
• Seek opportunities to partner with Retailer counterparts on account specific synergetic promotional priorities to drive sales
• Be the GPR category leader for buyers, including delivering trends, insights and innovative new vehicles to test and reapply
• Collaborate with merchandising and re-stocking plans with Supply Chain
• Strong coordination with Compliance and legal teams on marketing messaging and consumer communication
Requirements
• Extensive background in strategic retail planning, visual merchandising, retail promotions, retail buying, operations required.
• 7-10 years retail marketing experience, preferably in consumer focus companies.
• Bachelors degree required.
• MBA a plus.
• Strong creative eye and vision to bring product portfolio to life in store and actively engage consumers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams in a results oriented environment.
• Desire to work in a fast pace, entrepreneurial venture.
• Detail oriented with strong project management and budgetary skills.
• Ability to multi task and work with various departments.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Excellent computer skills – must be highly proficient in the MS platform with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
