Job Description
Gore Medical Products has provided creative therapeutic solutions to complex medical problems for 35 years, saving and improving the quality of lives worldwide. As a leading manufacturer of vascular grafts, endovascular and interventional devices, surgical meshes for hernia repair, and sutures, we are looking for a Supply Chain Leader to join our team in Phoenix or Flagstaff, Arizona, with a preference to be based in Phoenix.

In this role, you will be accountable for optimizing the end to end supply chain in support of the business strategy. You will partner with and leverage the skills and capabilities of functional leaders to facilitate this supply chain optimization. A significant portion of your responsibilities will include collaborating with technology and new product development teams to create global supply chain designs for future commercial products.

Responsibilities include:
• Developing and ensuring execution of an end-to-end Supply Chain Strategy that is aligned with and supportive of the Cardiac business strategy
• Contributing to the ongoing development of the Cardiac business strategy and financial goals by providing deep knowledge of supply chain capabilities, possibilities and economic realities
• Collaborating with Technical and Sourcing teams in late concept development and early product development to identify and develop external partners that will maximize value to Gore during development and ultimately optimize the commercial supply chain.
• Translating the business strategy into functional objectives for supply chain functional leaders, including Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Distribution
• Influencing and acting as an integrator across the business and supply chain teams by collaborating with other leaders to develop supply chain execution plans
• Monitoring metrics to ensure the Supply Chain is executing to business strategies
• Identifying risk within the supply chain and driving appropriate risk mitigation strategies with other functional leaders
• Leading the effective execution of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Product Life Cycle Management (PLCM) business processes as the key partner with Sales and Business leadership
• Ensuring a long term global capacity plan and coordinating the actions needed across the supply chain to create profitable responses to the S&OP plan
• Designing the supply chains for new product development (NPD) projects, including alignment of supply chain design with the business strategy, make versus buy decisions and coordinating capital spending and resource deployment for external operations
• Partnering with divisional sourcing and contract manufacturing teams to ensure optimal selection of external partners that will meet supply chain goals and align with overall Cardiac business strategy
• Developing product cost, facility footprint, inventory and other supply chain goals for new product development projects
• Participating in phase gate reviews and staying informed on progress toward meeting design for manufacturability goals that enable commercial product success
• Creating an environment that engages associates and drives results
• Establishing and promoting a continuous improvement environment and ensuring the application of lean principles
Qualifications
Required Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with an operations, supply chain or engineering emphasis
• Minimum of 10 years' demonstrated leadership experience
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a variety of end to end supply chain and/or manufacturing operations roles
• Demonstrated experience:
◦ developing and executing end-to-end supply chain strategy
◦ identifying, establishing and managing external manufacturing partners
◦ integrating and influencing across functions internally
◦ developing effective solutions to improve business process effectiveness
◦ supporting products across the entire life cycle, including early stage/new product development
• Demonstrated track record of driving transformational change
• Hands-on experience and demonstrated success applying lean manufacturing concepts
• Demonstrated track record of driving an environment of continuous improvement
• Effective planning, team-building and organization skills
• Ability to travel up to 20% globally
Desired Job Qualifications:
• Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
• Greater than 5 years’ experience leading other leaders
• Experience assessing mergers and acquisitions for supply chain effectiveness and likelihood of success
• Global Supply Chain experience
• Design for manufacturability experience
• Experience leading Sales & Operations Planning processes
