Director, Product Management
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Challenge yourself to embrace the fast-pace, challenging work ahead for this Product Management Director. This is a pivotal marketing role for Philips, Enterprise Imaging, being responsible to translate business opportunities into product-market combinations, the definition of commercial specifications for the Enterprise Imaging products, the co-responsibility for the realization of the products and the proper introduction of these products in the market. The role is not responsible for the realization of the sales, but support this. It drives creation of solutions (integrated combination of products and services) from idea to market.
The Product Management Director is accountable for defining and building profitable product solution platforms that helps healthcare providers transform their services from volume to value. This person will work directly with R&D, PMO and other marketing functions to ensure the products/solutions are developed to the feature, targeting price specifications that each target market segment demands. The Product Management Director owns the short to long-term product lifecycle from concept phase through development to end of life. The Product Management Director is required to have deep expertise in market segmentation, product strategy, competitive strategy, and product development.
You are responsible for
• Managing the product portfolio.
• Analyzing the market, competition, technology and developments, to enable new business opportunities with new product-market combinations within the business strategy to mid/long term market developments.
• Driving the product strategy, product plans and clear product direction for the development and delivery.
• Translating product strategies into general product plans (time horizon 3 years) and defines the future product portfolio changes.
• Following the business during the lifecycle of the product and to take corrective actions when needed, to generate the maximum profit contribution during the whole life cycle.
• Translating mid/long term developments in the market into future product plans and identifies the necessary key components for realizing future product ranges.
• Collecting and analyzing market information with regards to mid/long term market developments.
• Ensuring that product plans are integrated with planning of other disciplines such as R&D, Operations and Services.
• Taking the lead in the definition of new product ranges.

You will report directly to the Senior Director, Product Marketing, Enterprise Imaging (EI), Healthcare Informatics (HI) Business Innovation Unit (BIU). This position will work from the office in Pleasanton, CA. This role works within the Product Marketing Team, integrated with planning and execution with other disciplines such as R&D, Operations and Services with co-responsibility for the realization of the products and the proper introduction of these products in the market.

The Enterprise Imaging Solution helps healthcare providers meet the changing needs of their enterprise by offering more than expected from a traditional PACS. Designed to improve the quality of care while reducing cost, providing clinical insights, aids collaboration among clinical teams, and enhances workflow.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
• 12+ years of experience as a senior product of software development leader.
• 12+ Years in Healthcare Information Technology Industry.
• Superior analytical and quantitative skills.
• Experience using data and metrics to test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success.
• Expert knowledge of business process management and agile / scrum methodologies.
• Quantitative skills required. Ability to use data to back up assumptions and feature concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple product teams - work prioritization, planning, and task delegation.
• Passion for creative, resourceful problem solving.
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to translate complex business goals into clearly understandable product strategy.
• Very strong oral and written communication skills.
