Job Description:
The Director Supply Chain is a center-based role acting as the single point of contact with end-to-end materials planning and production scheduling responsibility for the Beverages division. This role is accountable for and oversees all raw material and production schedule planning for the division and has strong matrix accountability for packaging materials planning for all Beverages plants.
Position Responsibilities:
• Provide oversight of Beverages division material planning, including raw materials and packaging inventory.
• Ensures raw and packaging materials meet the quality and cost criteria and are available in the plant to allow customer orders to be delivered at or above fill rate.
• Serve as an effective single point of contact for the Beverages division as liaison with Production, Distribution, Marketing, Sales, Quality Control, Purchasing, Transportation, and other departments in order to coordinate all phases of material planning and production scheduling.
• Leads the planning tradeoff escalation process. Consults on new item facility assignments and responsible for the interface with Sales, Marketing and General Management when tradeoff decisions are required.
• Support effective transfer of new products into manufacturing in conjunction with the ordering and delivery of needed raw and packaging inventories to align with the scheduling of production.
• Oversees the inventory tradeoff and escalation process through high level analysis and understanding of raw material levels and service deliverables.
• Monitor supply planning and financial performance and implement corrective action planning when needed to meet company objectives.
• Ensure best practices and functional understanding are embedded and followed within the ERP system(s) and ancillary IT related tools, systems and processes.
• Provide adequate support, training, motivation and development of the team.
• Ensure that entire staff has customer, accuracy and timeliness as the overall focus.
• Develop and implement plans and programs for process improvements and excellence.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• A minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible and successful experience in the material management function, with an emphasis on manufacturing. Food manufacturing with multiple products and channels preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead an integration of multiple material planning systems and processes into one. Previous experience with SAP material and supply planning modules a plus.
• Proven competencies in driving operational excellence across the organization, with measurable cost, quality, and cycle time results and a clear understanding of linkages in material chain.
• Possess a strong combination of strategic vision and an ability to get involved on a “hands-on” basis of supply chain operations, as well as the ability to create a vision (5 to 10 years out) of the future for supply chain operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and, previous exposure to multiple supply chain and other business disciplines. This includes exposure to new product commercialization and start up procedures, as well as to supply chain IT transaction systems and information flow.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree Required: Business or related field
• Master's Degree preferred

This position can be based in our Oak Brook, IL or Manawa, WI office.
