Job Description/Responsibilities
The Divisional IT Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of technology associated with their division/sector. The Director reports directly into the SVP of IT but has dotted line responsibility to the Operations Division President.
This position is responsible for performing feasibility and cost analysis of new system software and hardware, assisting in the building detailed project plans, test plans and impact analysis documents for installations, upgrades and deployments within the respective region. The Director will also be responsible for managing IT problems and major incidents for the division ensuring minimal impact to normal operations. The Director will document a weekly accounting of all technology activities taking place in the division to the Division President and SVP of IT.
The Division IT Director will manage the IT team for the Division/Sector. This could include other Directors, Regional IT Managers, Field Systems Engineers, location IT managers and regional managed service providers. The Director will ensure that all major events have sufficient coverage, including personally attending key events. This position requires up to 75% travel.
Overview of Essential Functions:
Strategy
• As a part of the IT leadership team lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems & & technology for their respective division.
• Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending, RFPs and initiatives.
• Promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including the parent company, vendors and partner organizations.
People and External Resource Management
• Effective leadership and development of the Regional IT team, including local resources and remote resources to grow and develop team members to their fullest potential.
• Manage the relationship with outsourced IT service providers and vendors, determining the best utilization of external resources relative to internal capabilities, spend, and supporting the mission of the organization.
• Establish vendor contracts and relationships to ensure best performance and utilization for the organization.
• Oversee the planning, placement and management of location IT resources
• Oversee season and event startup and shutdown checklists
• Long range planning and trending against industry benchmarks
Account/Relationship Management
• Maintain positive collaborative relationships with division/sector regional operations staff
• Provide frequent feedback and reporting to Division President on IT activities in the division
• Be a central point of contact for the regional team for IT issues and concerns
• Provide periodic feedback on IT trends and direction to regional operations team
• Establish strong working relationships with supporting IT organizations
• Attend quarterly QBR’s with all POS and POS related vendors
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this division.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and corrective actions for employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Qualifications
• Minimum Education and Industry Experience: BS in Management Information Systems or equivalent, and 7-10 years working with both application systems and infrastructure, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven effectiveness in a IT leadership role
• Experience in multiple account management in a technical environment.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and best practices
• Technical knowledge: Microsoft technology stack, LAN/WAN (Cisco, Fortinet), Cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc), Micros, NCR Aloha or Quest
• Field work experience (late hours; weekends) is a plus
• Relevant experience in hospitality technology is a plus
• Experience with PCI compliancy is a plus
