Description:
Position Summary:
The Sr Director of Revenue Management will lead the planning and achievement of National volume, sales and trade spending objectives by brand for the USA business. This redefined role will lead a team of approx. 13-15 and work closely with both Brand and DSD-Field Sales. This individual will lead two groups; one group is the sales planning or revenue mgmt. team organized and focused on our four product segments and the second group is our trade promotion analytics team. The analytics team is building and deploying in-house volume and promotional planning tools across the sales organization.
The Sr Dir Rev Mgmt will play a critical role in the company’s success by leading our efforts in achieving growth metrics of volume and sales but also bringing process, discipline and learning to managing trade spending in a decentralized DSD field sales go-to-market model.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Lead the coordination between Marketing and Sales in developing and achieving brand level volume, sales and spending objectives
• Develop pricing and promotional strategies to effectively and efficiently drive strategic brand, customer and business unit growth
• Responsible for the continued development and implementation of TPO/TPM tools across BBU and leading the organization toward the most efficient use of Trade Spending
• Leads the Annual and Trimester Forecast Trade Planning to ensure pricing strategies are in place to drive growth while advising leadership team on opportunities and risk to plan
• Lead the creation and implementation of tactical action plans across all product categories
• Coordinate the new product development process for the entire brand life-cycle
• Manage and develop the abilities and capabilities of the members of the trade marketing team
Position Requirements:
Education and Work History:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing, Master’s preferred.
• 10 – 15 years’ experience with heavy on emphasis trade spend management and pricing. Combination of CPG field selling leadership and head-quarter leadership roles.
• Ideally having DSD experience but depth of trade spend and pricing is more critical along with the ability to influence field leaders in a decentralized DSD structure
• Deep understanding of retailer go-to-market strategies, class of trade /channel dynamics
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills)
• Strong ability to lead with and without direct authority; collaboration with cross-functional business partners is highly critical
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Syndicated Data, Trade Promotion Management
• 30-40% travel
