Job Summary
Assist, support, and improve all aspects of the Key Metrics; Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, by driving a Lean Culture through continuous improvement.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform highly repetitive and prescribed duties involving the assembly of component parts in the manufacturing line.
• Duties include, but are not limited to, manual assembly operations such as inserting, folding, racking, placing and other similar simple operations.
• Detect and segregate defective material.
• Move materials as necessary.
• Maintain work areas and tools in a neat and orderly condition.
• Maintain all required records.
• Work from established procedures including Safety, Quality, Standard Work and verbal instructions.
• Assist in the continuous improvement culture and seek opportunities to eliminate waste by participating in RPS (Rapid Problem Solving), and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) events.
• Identify and report the need for Standard Work Changes.
• Adapt to Standard Work variances.
• Follow all prescribed Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.
• Refer all questionable conditions to the Team Leader.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
• Maintain visual board per the standard work instructions
• Escalate all issues affecting the key metrics: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Education and Experience Profile
• High School Diploma/GED or prior work experience
Required Skills
• Weight: Lifting up to 40#, with the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Job requires: decision making, problem solving and communication.
• Physical capabilities: Stretching, finger dexterity, lifting, climbing, twisting, turning, standing, pulling, pushing, reaching and bending.
Work Environment
• Working conditions are normal for a Manufacturing Environment.
