Director, Planning & Performance Management- Craft
A critical position within the High End Finance team, the Director of Planning & Performance Management- Craft is primarily responsible for managing the business cycle process and financial reporting for the Craft portfolio within the High End Business Unit.
The High End is a business unit of Anheuser-Busch, created to provide its unique craft and European import brands with autonomy and support for growth, while fostering a collaborative environment for the brightest brewers in the beer community. The High End brings dedicated resources to support the growth of its brands, create successful partnerships and deliver more variety to consumers. Established now, The High End includes brands such as Stella Artois and Shock Top, along with craft breweries Goose Island, Blue Point, 10 Barrel, Elysian and Golden Road.
Job Responsibilities:
• Capture Base Case assumptions for key business drivers and use them to develop short (1-year plan) and long term (3-year plan) performance objectives and model impact to High End financial results. Build long term objectives into detailed annual budget for multiple regions and multiple brands.
• Lead reporting of financial results for Craft, and provide visibility of results to General Managers, High End leadership team, and Corporate Finance team.
• Manage the preparation of the High End Craft's volume and financial performance communication to the company's leadership team and Board of Directors for long term plan and annual budget approval.
• Oversee and coordinate the bottom-up detailed budget for the High End organization, ensuring the delivery of approved targets set by the North American Zone (NAZ) President, CEO, and Board.
• Develop analytical insights needed to ensure accurate forecasts and propose gap closing opportunities for meeting budget objectives.
• Lead the Craft organization planning, development and execution for ZBB budgeting and performance (VLC, Overhead, Marketing, Sales and Other Performance) including monthly tracking & monitoring.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration. MBA strongly preferred.
• Strong financial and analytical skills. Thorough knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and tracking & monitoring systems tools.
• 5+ years of business experience.
• Advanced-level Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strategic foresight and ability to see big picture/interrelationships of proposed opportunities (gap analysis).
• Ability to influence and negotiate in interactions with other entities and Global team.
Preferred Qualifications
• Masters’ in Business Administration preferred.
• Solid knowledge of beverage industry. Thorough understanding of beer wholesaler operations and retail sales execution.
