ROLE OVERVIEW
This Director, Quality is responsible for developing and overseeing the strategy, development and implementation of quality and regulatory compliance capabilities and programs to ensure delivery of products and services to our customers while achieving business objectives. The role is a key leader in creating capability that ensures consistent quality customer experience, compliance, effectively manages risk and enables targeted speed and quality of innovation. The role will create and drive the culture of quality across Bemis North America which includes each and every employee and all suppliers which we will hear, see and feel quality in everything we do.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
• Drive step change improvement in end-to end quality, improving customer experience while reducing costs
• Provides leadership and direction for quality and quality assurance functions in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Maintain emphasis on product quality by developing, directing and implementing quality strategies in support of overall business goals.
• Work closely with Sales and R&D, for the understanding of product specifications and quality needs for each of our customers to ensure proper controls are in place. Ensure voice of customer is reflected in internal quality methods.
• Design and deploy a ‘Culture of Quality’ training program.
• Provide technical leadership, direction and coach across all levels of the organization - to assure quality standards are met. Interact with all departments as needed to assure mission and company goals are properly communicated.
• Simplify and standardize quality testing processes, procedures and methodologies and unify across plant network.
• Develop and execute quality system and technology investment roadmap.
• Partners with Procurement origination to drive robust supplier program.
• Be a change agent for the business in helping the leadership team drive culture change throughout the organization.
• Ensure that a robust set of key performance indicators and performance targets are in place for quality are taking place to ensure that processes are performing effectively and exceptions are properly addressed
• Leads organization change initiatives by continuously assessing the need for organizational change, championing change initiatives, and removing obstacles impeding constructive organizational change.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
• Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA or Master’s Degree preferred in quality or a related firm
• 10 + years progressive quality experience in Manafucuting environment
• Experience leading change in a matrix environment
• Experience communicating with customers at all levels
• Experience with ERP implementation and system management
• Proven cross-functional partnership and teamwork
