Description
The Senior Director of Finance for the US Sales organization will play a pivotal leadership role in the growth of US business. As a key partner to the US Commercial leadership team, this leader will focus on helping our sales team make sound operational decisions, creating/building financial tools, reporting mechanisms, business modeling and financial planning processes that will effectively scale with the Company's growth. The role provides critical analytical support and will encompass At Home, Partners and e-commerce client organizations and will provide appropriate analysis to analyze volume, profit and other key metrics critical to running the business and to making critical, time-sensitive decisions.
The ideal candidate will quickly develop an in-depth knowledge of our business (i.e. structure, objectives, budgets, contracts, etc.) and use this knowledge to influence decision making. This position is critical to producing accurate and timely financial information and analysis as well as promoting an environment of strong internal controls and efficiencies.
What you will do:
• Lead the development of the U.S. Sales annual operating plan (AOP), long range plan, and quarterly forecast
• Ensure management has a deep understanding of monthly business results by developing key metrics and analyzing results
• Manage fiscal year key strategic initiatives that drive sustained financial performance and deliver savings to the business
• Contribute to delivering strong operating performance by collaborating closely with key leaders holding them accountable for results, to implement best practices and to efficiently utilize business resources
• Provide leadership, direction, and development to Finance team members
• Work collaboratively with the forecasting team to identify changes in revenue projections and subsequently determine the impact to spending
• Supports business improvement initiatives through financial analysis, reports and recommendations
• Supports the implementation of strategic and operational business plans, projects, programs and systems
• Perform and/or oversee a wide variety of high level and complex financial and business analyses and business unit level performance analysis
• Ensures complete knowledge of monthly results. Directs staff in preparation of results presentation to senior finance management and business leaders. Presents results to senior business leaders
Qualifications
What you must have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferable
• 15+ years related financial leadership experience required, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, analysis, and building financial models for Consumer Packaged Goods industry companies
• Energetic, positive leader who easily engages with, motivates and develops their team members
• Highly analytical approach, constantly seeks to understand the driver for results
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; comfortable communicating with executive management
• Ability to influence business decisions
• Strong drive for results and complex problems solving skills coupled with the ability to build solid strategic working relationships
• Broad knowledge of consumer products, product mix impacts, cost structure, and general knowledge of key retail sales metrics
• Ability to provide leadership and strategic direction for process improvement efforts and business/process migrations
• Strong ability to build relationships
• Extremely well organized, data driven and comfort managing multiple projects/ stake holders
• Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
