The Transformation Management Office at HP Inc. will steer a company-wide transformation through data driven program portfolio management and decision making. This critical group is responsible for driving a series of linked, global transformation programs. A significant and immediate component of the TMO is the coordination and successful implementation of all phases of our company-wide, multi-year ERP program.
As part of the TMO, the Director, Financial Management, will help ensure the successful delivery of the overall transformation portfolio. This position will be responsible for the financial management elements of the methodology, to ensure they are implemented, and provide visibility and insights to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Active leader in the overall mission of the TMO to ensure an optimized/balanced portfolio, successful program execution and realized business outcomes.
• Owner of the financial management elements of the methodology for the team to drive consistency across all programs/projects.
• Provide methods, templates, tools to ensure earned value for each program stays on track.
• Ensures sound financial mgmt. discipline around standards-based cost tracking, etc.
• Responsible for management of costs at both the program level and aggregated for the portfolio.
• Manage the collection, collation and analysis of financial data for portfolio programs/projects.
• Provide visibility and deliver insights and recommendations to the program leaders and the TMO lead.
• Two-way partner with key leaders across the organization to drive TMO initiatives as well as to understand implications Pan HP and make appropriate inferences and recommendations back to TMO.
• Partner with Finance to ensure all deliverables and timelines are met by the TMO
• Provide relevant financial data to support Transformation initiatives and to proactively identify/address areas of concern.
Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Technology or Business Administration. Masters or higher degree preferred.
• 10+ years business experience. Corporate level experience for a large global/complex company preferred.
• Strong financial cost/benefit accounting experience required
• Functional experience in at least two of the following roles: Operations, PMO, analytics, IT or consulting
• Ability to work in fast paced, complex, global and dynamically changing environment
• Strong analytical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
