General Description
Drive solution strategy and delivery of global, repeatable solutions for GBSG with focus on Finance, Government and/or Healthcare verticals, starting with the North America B2B Mobility business.
Similar to a business-oriented product manager, you will have both technology background (innovation, consulting, product, solutions) as well as industry background either having worked in the vertical industry, or applied technology to that industry in their career (could be in a business or technology role). Responsibilities will be to identify the leading B2B solutions in the target vertical that Global B2B Service Group/Global Mobile B2B Team should develop, map a solution strategy, working closely with internal product and sales teams, as well as external partners who will be part of the solution stack, and to deliver/bring the solution to market. Solid combination of technology, industry, project management, product management, and potentially also business role experience (product marketing, sales, business development).
Responsibilities:
•This business function is to design, develop and bring to market repeatable strategic solutions (product/strategy/technical/marketing) to solve enterprise customer needs. Solutions will be specifically related to the role that industry players are in and how they will use Samsung products to solve their needs
•Manage the solutions like a product to include overall solution design, understanding of customer requirements and partner interactions
•S/he is will have deep understanding of customer needs
•Long term strategic thinker with ability to be tactical as necessary
•Coordination with external and internal partners
Background/Experience
•Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of directly related experience is required
•Industry vertical experience highly desirable
•Master’s Degree in a relevant field preferred
•Experience should include product management and/or strategy development experience within a mobility environment
•Must be able to write, read, analyze, and interpret wireless terminals technical product and marketing materials
•Must be self-managed, motivated and strong customer partner
Necessary Skills / Attributes
Possess strong negotiation skills in support of securing new business opportunities. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral presentation skills. Strong analytical skills (experience building, evaluating and clearly presenting complex business models is critical) Demonstrated ability to interact with all technical levels within the organization and within customer organizations. The ability to convince others, in a potentially adversarial and highly technical environment, including customer leadership, VP's, directors & managers, and vendors with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical, and project recommendations. The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous product performance projects. The ability to write, read, interpret, and act on proper understanding of technical documents, engineering materials, or related documents based on corporate legal and customer applications, engineering standards, and philosophy. Ability to make technical product presentations and communicate in writing, through emails and reports, or orally, product technical matters to an audience of high technical skills and operational experience. Ability to lead and direct the activities of team members in order to achieve customer business objectives and team goals and to complete assigned projects within established time frames and specifications. The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, clearly define objectives, and give direction with applied knowledge of alternatives and decision-making experience to guide subordinates. Demonstrated ability to formulate and defend opinions regarding market and competitive direction along with associated impact on company strategy. Ability to negotiate on behalf of function to come to agreement by managing communications through discussions and compromise; issues are long-term operational, tactical and strategic in nature.
