Director of Program Management
Overland Park, KS
As the risk landscape is continuously changing while risk velocity is increasing, speed and determinism of execution of our product lifecycle is critical to the RSA Archer business. While we have a current program management team, we are looking to elevate the function in terms of its strategic importance. We are therefore conducting a search for a Director of Program Management – a critical leadership position to drive the governance and execution of our project based work and product lifecycle process.
The leader for the program management team will be responsible for owning our product lifecycle (Agile/Scrum) to ensure we are effectively planning, organizing, coordinating, and overcoming obstacles to execute on the strategy and roadmap with both business unit and cross-functional business partners. Specific roles and responsibilities are as follows:
• Leads, mentors and coaches the program management team and business partners to grow leaders and develop a high performance organization.
• Provides cross functional leadership on large scale programs and multiple complex projects that affect organizational long-term goals and objectives.
• Ensures the successful execution of a portfolio of interdependent projects, and works with cross functional business partners to implement compensating measures for risks and issues impacting execution.
• Surfaces the status of projects through qualitative, quantitative, proactive and reactive mechanisms to determine the status of projects.
• Drives planning and organizing activities to ensure that projects are appropriately resourced and realistic plans are in place to meet quality, schedule, and functionality goals.
• Fosters a culture of trust, candor and reality-based dialogue, and can engage candidly and directly to ensure that we are executing the product lifecycle effectively.
• Drives continuous improvement to effectiveness, speed, determinism and reduce risks of our product lifecycle process.
Experience
The leader of the RSA Archer Product Management team will have the following experience in their background:
• Team leadership of a team up 5+ program managers.
• Cross functional experience working with Product Management and Engineering on a portfolio of complex software projects.
• Experience working with a large cross functional team in an enterprise environment, where matrix engagement and coordination is essential to success.
• In depth experience with product lifecycle and software development lifecycle processes.
• Passion for and experience in agile transformation.
• Experience running governance programs for a complex portfolio of software products with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience driving continuous improvement projects to processes.

Qualifications
• Experience leading Program Management teams of greater than 5 individuals.
• Bachelors or Master’s Degree, preferably in a technical feel.
• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams on a global business with over $200m in revenue.
• Experience with Agile development methodology in software development is required.
• Has implemented or driven continuous improvement to PLC and SDLC processes.
• Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Belt is a plus.
