KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish, implement and communicate a strategic global quality vision which aligns the organization to protect the trust of our consumers and brands, and enables NCR to win in the market
• Provide over-site and ensure sustained performance against the Quality Management System
• Build trust and credibility with key stakeholders and cross functional leadership teams at all levels of the organization
• Partner with Product Supply, RD&E and Technical Services to improve the NPD process and use critical thinking to drive risk-based decisions that enable NCR to deliver quality product on time and on cost that win in the market
• Continually assess, build and develop the capability of the global quality team members to properly support the business and ensure individual career growth opportunities and succession planning for critical quality roles across the globe
• Provide guidance and direction for managing high impact Product Incident Investigations, Near-Miss programs, and potential Customer Service impacting issues
• Challenge the quality organization to innovate, adopt best practices and drive prevention related programs that deliver on Cost of Quality reduction initiatives, and enable breakthrough performance globally
• Communicate and reinforce successes in improved quality measurements and scores across the organization as well as to key external audiences and stakeholders
KEY COMPETENCIES
• Minimum of 10+ years of increasing responsibility and experience in quality and/or engineering in a global manufacturing environment. Preferred meaningful assignments in manufacturing, engineering, and/or manufacturing quality within companies recognized for achievement of best practices in lean manufacturing/execution
• Inclusive leader with 5+ years of management of people experience
• Global acumen and familiarity with multi-cultural diversity
• Ability to lead through influence, manage ambiguity, and demonstrate managerial courage to deliver against business objectives
• A well-rounded business person with strong organizational savvy, who partners effectively with cross functional stakeholders to earn respect and trust at all levels of the organization
• Strong communication skills – both written and oral. Ability to present on various topics to executive committees when requested and/or discuss detailed issues with plant personnel
• A person with a reputation of having driven quality and engineering improvements into a large and complex organization
• Experience and ability to coach the broader team to enable effective problem solving, use of broad based statistical analysis, focused consumer data management, ensuring E2E process control and capability
• Strong emphasis on quality tools (such as FMEA, FTA, QFD, SPC, Six Sigma, etc.)
