Position at Pilgrim's
The Director of Talent Management for Pilgrim’s will be based at our Corporate Office in Greeley, CO. In partnership with the JBS USA team, the Director of Talent Management will supervise and lead Pilgrim’s Training Managers and Mid-Level Training Managers as they deploy aligned behavioral and technical training programs across all Pilgrim’s US locations. This position will report to the Head of Human Resources for Pilgrim’s. Estimated travel will be approximately twenty-five percent (25%).
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the strategic development, coordination, and management of all training and development programs for Pilgrim’s
• Ownership of the Pilgrim’s internship, trainee, and supervisor development programs
• Ownership of the People First and Mid-Level Management Programs within Pilgrim’s
• Assess development needs of the business and arrange suitable training solutions for team members
• Creatively design and implement effective methods to communicate training and education opportunities for employees
• Manage performance reviews, talent discussions, and succession planning
• Track progress and measure ROI of training initiatives; make adjustments and modify training where necessary
• Creation and facilitation of development modules
• Manage the annual performance cycle
• Assist campus recruiting teams at university events when necessary
• Through the BU Training Managers in their assigned area, oversee and insure the communication, coordination, and execution of PPC strategies and business unit/facility tactical initiatives
• Provide focus, accountability and drive ownership for key performance indicators (overall performance management)
• Oversee the development of the overall talent within Pilgrim’s (skills and people gaps)
Performance Indicators:
• Retention (production/maintenance and management)
• Percent of standard crewing
• Absenteeism
• No regulatory agency negative findings
• In non-union facilities, maintain union free status
• Talent Management
◦ Completion of designated training modules
◦ Maximizing the fulfillment of all designated feeder programs (Interns, Trainees, etc.)
◦ Identification and execution of succession planning
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Five to seven years’ experience in HR management or supervision required
• Multi-site responsibility preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational and problem solving skills
• Excellent technical skills (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and HR-SAP)
