PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the management of multiple product portfolios and provide oversight in support of those portfolios by leveraging partnerships with other technology teams (e.g., SRE, Cloud Engineering, Architecture, Solutions), Product Management stakeholders, vendors and business leaders. This includes responsibility for directing and overseeing engineering teams. This role works closely with product leaders and across enterprise teams in order to ensure the delivery and reliability of technology solutions and capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENTS:
• Manage two or more global software engineering teams that design, build and maintain technology products aligned to functional domains
• Manage robust, reliable, secure and scalable systems on premise or in the cloud
• Build and maintain partnerships with all functions to ensure technology team members understand business needs, functional specifications, and user journeys
• Provide insight and guidance, and resolve escalated issues throughout the application development, implementation, and support/production lifecycle
• Set goals, strategies, budgets and oversee the deployment of large/enterprise scale initiatives
• Influence and establish best in class engineering practices through solid design decisions and tools
• Provide rapid response and restoration of production faults (incl problem resolution and Correction of Error)
• Responsible for all engineering aspects of a portfolio (including development, QA/QE, security, stability, etc)
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the SERVE model, as well as leading team(s) through change
• Encourage a data-driven culture to improve the efficiency, scalability, stability, and security of applications
• Monitor team/individual’s morale and engagement to maintain highly effective and collaborative environments
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or related field

Experience in corporate management, project management, IT consulting, or related field
Experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)
Experience managing operational and/or project financial budgets
6 + Software development in an agile environment
5 + Leading global teams with direct reports
4 + Work experience in a technology leadership role requiring interaction with senior leadership
3 + Manage operational and/or financial budgets
3 + Working with 3rd party vendors and/or software providers
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Master's Degree Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or related field
Experience in an IT role requiring interaction with senior leadership
Experience in a leadership role of a large matrixed organization
Experience managing the development, implementation, and integration of multiple and/or complex business systems within an organization
Experience in IT Consulting
Experience in IT Management in the retail industry
