Position Summary
The Director of National Retail Sales is responsible for maximizing Samsung’s market position, product penetration and profitability with Amazon.
Role and Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities include:
• Develop comprehensive business strategy for Amazon and clearly articulate rationale based upon analyses of their strategy and capabilities, financial analysis, customer insights, portfolio, promotions, marketing/multi-channel, and inventory.
• Effectively communicate business trends, strategy and analysis to internal executive leadership and to the client customer.
• Provides leadership, direction and coaching to a team of national account managers including organizing weekly team calls, assisting with team development, and advising on critical decisions.
• Partner with cross functional team members to effectively drive key deliverables.
• Relied upon as the subject matter expert on the business; balancing strategy with flawless execution.
• Influence customers buying decisions through effective SEO strategies.
• Develop and negotiate customer sales agreements on behalf of SEA for assigned products.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and business relationships which result in the achievement of increased revenue, profitability and market share.
• Interface effectively at all levels within Amazon's organization to obtain support for strategy and tactical plan, including negotiating necessary arrangements.
• Lead and, as necessary, persuade cross-functional team in executing strategy and tactical plan.
• Monitor and explain performance variations and any necessary action plans.
• Drive the business forward and deliver sell-thru and other specified results.
• Provide ongoing communication with the account manager to ensure satisfaction; lead negotiations to continue and grow business opportunities
• Ensure that customer negotiated commitments are achieved according to plan; ensure availability of products and delivery schedules to support sales opportunities.
• Develops and maintains consistency in all marketing vehicles to further leverage the Samsung brand and products.
• Prepares program budgets, and project plans, management, progress, expenditure, and other related reports to identify performance and successful achievement of objectives or variances.
• Prepare and present reports and management analysis to establish business plans. Report on the performance of the assigned business division against plan.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• A Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or a business related field is required. Master’s Degree in business from an accredited college or university is preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Must have 7+ years of experience with an online/.com focused retail merchant or as channel account director
• Strong financial acumen, highly analytical with accurate and timely analysis, and excellent attention to detail
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies and execution
• Significant contribution toward customer and team success
• Strong account management experience supporting a complex customer, internal support teams and presenting at the Executive level.
• Mobile device sales experience is preferred and/or Home Electronic suite of products
• Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite and extensive use of presentation software
**Position requires regular onsite presence in the Bellevue office and approximately one trip per month for business meetings

• May lead a small team of professionals with limited control over budget spending or HR management such as recruiting or dismissal and supervises mentoring and coaching for team members
• Typically implements short-term action plans rather than developing policy, process or strategy
• Enhances or Improves methods or procedures and provides coaching to team members to ensure successful outcome
• Has deep knowledge on one job area or broad knowledge on several job areas
• Typically requires at least 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years
