Marketing Director – SEA Display Organization

Role and Responsibilities
The Marketing Director for the SEA Display organization will have three primary role responsibilities; Demand Generation, Channel Marketing & Programs, and Marketing Operations.
The first responsibility will be to lead a team of Integrated Marketing Program Managers who coordinate and implement Go-To Market integrated campaigns for key Samsung display initiatives. This includes the coordination of all key components of each integrated campaign and proactively establishing effective working relationships across the Integrated Marketing teams which include: media, experiential, PR, digital marketing, insights, demand generation, product marketing, channel marketing teams and external agency personnel.
The second responsibility will be to lead a team of channel marketing professionals focused on developing and deploying new channel programs, initiatives and supporting systems to enable sales teams to effectively grow the business through our different channel partners. This would also include key sales enablement and training activities for both internal sales teams as well as partner sales teams.
The final responsibility will be to lead the marketing operations activities including the various CRM and marketing efficiency efforts, with the goal of establishing key metrics that demonstrate the ROI of the different marketing efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a background in strategy and/or marketing in commercial-focused or technology industries. This individual will lead this team under the purview of the Display Marketing VP, as well as collaborate with other stakeholders across to the organization on strategic initiatives that drive growth on Samsung’s display categories.
Responsibilities:
• Accountable for revenue, market share, and budget performance; ensures top line and bottom line performance goals are met. Additionally, this individual will drive the achievement of key marketing metrics that are contributors to meeting business & financial performance objectives.
• Laser focus on executing marketing initiatives including:
-Developing & executing Go-to-Market strategies, product launches & promotional plans to generate demand
-Developing effective marketing strategies & tactics
-Identifying and execute on new business development opportunities & programs
-Collaborating closely with product marketing on consumer communication game plans
-Digital Marketing
• Maintain close relationships with sales, product management and marketing support to optimize revenue initiatives.
• Represent product category strategy in key media, PR, industry wide events.
• Regular presentations and reviews with customers to develop joint strategies and tactics for growth.
• Develop and maintain promotional, marketing, and overall budget for product portfolio.
• Competitive analysis and ROI management.
• Regular interface with SEA/HQ constituents to represent voice of customer in the U.S market place to input to product launch and portfolio decisions. Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting of performance on a regular basis.
• Monitor and evaluate and report on the competitive environment. Formulate tactics to anticipate and respond to the competition.
Skills and Qualifications
Requirements:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Business or marketing from an accredited college or university; a Master’s Degree in business or marketing is preferred
• 15+ years relevant experience
◦ 8-15 years’ experience in big brand product marketing or marketing/communications Experience with commercial technologies or consumer electronics
• Understanding of key cross-functional marketing fundamentals including media, experiential, digital, social, PR, product/brand management and channel marketing
• Proven relationship-building skills with developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within teams, business units and large organizations, both inside and outside the company
• Passion for creating great customer experiences, and for solving complex problems
• Good understanding of commercial sales, both end user and channel, in order to deliver key sales enablement and marketing support
• Refined project management skills with an ability to translate broad business requirements into actionable project plans
• Ability to work independently, quickly, and thoroughly to prioritize and complete tasks under multiple deadlines while guiding others to do the same
• Exceptional team leader with ability to prioritize competing demands and maximize team performance
