Description
Edelman is looking for a Vice President to join its Brand Team in our San Francisco office, to work on a major consumer tech client, with a focus on integrated programming and storytelling, consumer media relations, influencer engagement, creative campaigns and project management.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient and enthusiastic about all aspects of consumer media relations and story development (traditional and digital/social media channels) and is passionate about pop culture, design, photography and entertainment. S/he will be a strong writer, trend spotter and creative brain-stormer who isn’t afraid to share ideas and opinions. Solid experience working with influencers and on well-known lifestyle brands is a plus.
In addition to storytelling experience, the ideal candidate also has experience managing integrated projects and teams from start to finish, knows how to work against both long and short deadlines, has experience budgeting (and staying on budget), and is skilled at managing personal relationships with clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Vice President (VP) is a business-minded steward of the client relationship and is entrusted and empowered to ensure both the clients’ and agency’s business objectives are met. In this role, you will effectively identify and anticipate business problems and help clients solve them through applying deep industry and tactical knowledge. You will also effectively manage a team as well as mentor junior staff and will embrace the role as an officer of the firm. Expected competencies include:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Qualifications
• At least eight years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including consumer public relations, research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a proven ability to manage large projects as well as small teams on one or more sizable accounts
• Strong communication – active listening and ability to persuade and negotiate
• Confidence in presenting ideas and providing counsel to internal and external audiences
