We’re looking for an ambidextrous, seasoned planner – an individual armed with solid traditional planning skills as well as strong digital/tech understanding. The Planning Director is a key senior partner on our strategic team dedicated to our client in the financial services space. As a planner, there are few topics more interesting then how people think and behave in relationship to money. As intimate partners in the business, the planning team has a seat at the table in bringing marketing intelligence forward to effect the business on many levels: communications, product development, as well as business strategy. Steward to the brand, the planner will work with a variety of creative teams to deliver enormous creative output across the spectrum of medium and channel. This individual will be responsible for key business areas (likely to include multiple consumer/business LOBs - as well as digital/social and brand initiatives).

• Comfortable with a multi-faceted client that has numerous lines of business.
• Can strong client relationships through their work and be seen as a thought leader.
• A thinker who can process a broad range of data and theory, distilling it into very concise clear strategies tailored to a
range of audiences.
• A strong narrator/ storyteller.
• Significant experience with primary fieldwork as well as armchair planning.
• Our team is close-knit and supportive - a collaborative orientation is a must.
WHAT YOU’VE GOT
• 5+ years of traditional planning experience.
• Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization and client
• Excellent communication skills- written, presentation, data visualization

• Fundamental curiosity, drive, and intellectual integrity
• Craft in both qualitative and quantitative methods
• Thick-skinned who can separate their ideas from their egos
• Inner-confidence and poise – someone who can pivot in the moment to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
• Comfort with ambiguity.
• Entrepreneurial, resourceful and a self-starter.
• Background in behavioral economics, design thinking, data visualization, and finances are a plus.
Education: BA/BS Marketing, Communications, or other related field
