Position Summary
UM is looking for a dynamic, fun, strategic thinker who is looking to advance their media planning career!
We are looking for a Partner (Associate Director), Portfolio Management who will be responsible for cultivating a deep relationship with multiple internal and external constituents while developing, executing, and monitoring all media strategy and investment across a single Global client.
Essential Functions
• Lead a data-led, audience-first integrated media planning, investment and activation across offline and online media (Display/Programmatic, Video, Search, Social)
• Manage a of a supervisor, a planner and assistants on day-to-day responsibilities including billing, media plan updates as well as training and development
• Prioritize work flow for the agency team across multiple product lines on a single client’s account that is heavily matrixed with multiple campaigns and events each year
• Oversee media plan approach and strategy consistent with brand marketing objectives
• Lead the coordination of client approach and processes across North America
• Inform budgetary discussions and incremental funding requests
• Maintain relationships with all levels of client contact
• Prepare and make presentations to clients regarding media recommendations, ensuring buy-in
• Compile final plan recommendation presentations with detailed rationale
• Manage client requests – i.e. plan changes, budget changes, provide marketplace information
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration or communications
Work Experience:
• Seven to nine years’ experience in media planning including three to five years management experience required
• B2B experience is a plus. Working on a global account a plus too.
• Experience across traditional and digital channels with emphasis on digital
Skills:
• Experience with multiple business categories

• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• High level of comfort presenting to clients and internal team members
• Proven track record with client relations and growing existing business
• Solid awareness of industry trends and planning/measurement models
• Understanding of marketing and communications process; Planning, buying, managing and optimizing across all channels (directly and/or consulting)
• Ability to interpret and analyze data to inform go-to-market strategies
