You will provide a positive contribution to the office and studio culture. As the Art Director you will contribute to the visual design of a project. You will be passionate about design across all mediums with a sound understanding of current trends and technologies.
Contribute to the visual design of a project. Actively participate in design thinking methodology and support the visual communication of concepts. Follow best practices to provide a positive contribution to the studio culture.
Differentiators:
• Executes low complexity projects that are clearly understandable to all levels of stakeholders.
• Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of design.
• Works under limited supervision but is expected to perform varied work that may be somewhat difficult.
• Performs work with transactionally based customer relationships that may involve collaboration with other team members.
• Under the guidance of a their director, demonstrates concept sketching that involves quick ideations as well as finished presentation drawing skills
• Demonstrates knowledge of digital advertising, social media engagement, and environmental graphic design
• Under the guidance of a their director creates stories or describes ideas clearly
• Demonstrates communication, team collaboration and presentation skills clearly to all levels of stakeholders
Other Duties:
• Promotes brand consistency with concepts that support design objectives and creative concepts.
• Creates branded graphics for physical and digital environments at various scales.
• Prepares and packages files for stakeholder approval and print.
• Coordinates with outside agencies, art services and printers as needed.
• Works within specified deadlines. Edits and revises work based on stakeholder feedback.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary group of designers as well as stakeholders from other disciplines such as sales, marketing, operations and fabrication.
• Participates in design planning for complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Actively participates in studio pin-ups, discovery sessions, and reviews.
• Follows studio best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent experience demonstrated by a strong portfolio.
• 2+ years of experience in creative agency, corporate marketing environment or architectural design firm.
• Working knowledge of the following deliverables: brochures, inserts, emails, exhibits, events, case studies, ads, books, promotional materials, online advertising, presentations, and direct mail
• Ability to follow a user-centered methodological approach to design projects
• Highly organized
• Ability to discover and articulate design objectives and apply design solutions to the project at hand
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, Word, HTML capabilities
