JOB SUMMARY
Associate Director, Integrated Production has 7+ years of experience in Digital and Print media that includes experience in the healthcare marketing industry. They are a creative problem solver whose production expertise allows them to guide complex multi-channel development efforts. Strong leadership skills help them oversee a producer team’s activities, as they are accountable for the overall quality of work in conjunction with Producers, ensuring goals are met and projects are delivered on time and on budget.
They are a great communicator, motivator, and project manager with an innate ability to “get things done”. As a result they wear many hats. They advise producers, teams, vendors/partners, and clients on best practices, scope, schedules, and pricing, building strong relationships along the way. They work with senior members of the Producer and Account teams to ensure interdependent cross-channel tactical plans function as cohesive programs.
They oversee all aspects of the project life cycle from concept to delivery and are experts on the roles played by Design, Copywriting, Editorial, Studio, Print Production, User Experience, Technology, and Quality Assurance. Whether it’s advising on the feasibility of creative concepts, ensuring copy is optimized for search engines and social media, confirming interdependent print and digital tactics flow seamlessly together, validating that UX deliverables address user and business goals, or planning to build and test media across different platforms, devices and operating systems, the only thing certain is that no one day is ever the same.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Manage a Producer Team of Senior, Integrated, and Associate Producers, providing day-to-day guidance and oversight.
• Execute the agency’s most complex projects, including apps, large web engagements, multi-tactical programs, and experiential tactics
• Partner with the Director and Human Resources to identify and hire new talent, ensuring the department keeps pace with growing demand.
• Establish and mentor leadership within the Producer Team, identifying growth areas, moderating conflicts, and managing performance
• Partner with account and strategy to build annual scopes of work, tactical and staffing plans, pricing out assumption-based estimates and resourcing for each tactic on a full year plan
• Assign accounts and projects to Producers, matching needs and providing proper coverage.
• Participate in business development activities by developing proposals, scopes, schedules, estimates, and delivering pitches.
• Manage resourcing, generate timelines and estimates, assign projects, build project plans, and update progress using the project management platform (WorkFront)
• Work with Producers to develop and approve scopes of work, schedules, and pricing based on business and functional requirements, ) as well as enforce & manage producer team’s use of the poroejct management platform (WorkFront)
• Responsible for enforcing objective quality criteria on all digital/print projects whenever necessary, contributing to the creative process by assessing feasibility of proposed solutions and recommending approaches.
• Communicate project status to teams and clients on a regular basis.
• Partner with Account Management to track and report project burn rates.
• Ensure proper change management documentation is executed as scope changes or project priorities shift, and that new requirements are communicated to project teams.
• Ensure User Experience deliverables meet user and business goals.
• Interface with developers developing client-side (HTML, CSS, JS, Flash) and server-side technologies (PHP, ASP.NET, SQL).
• Work with Quality Assurance to formulate and execute Test Plans.
• Develop RFP’s for outside vendors and guide selection process.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
• BA / BS or equivalent experience.
SKILLS & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS (licenses, programs, certifications, etc.)
• Proven ability to manage long-term, multi-million dollar engagements with multiple project tracks and teams.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of web development technologies, technology vendors and third party offerings.
EXPERIENCE
• 7+ years of experience as a Digital/Integrated Producer or Project Manager in an agency or high-tech environment with channel agnostic executional experience.
• Strong background in Pharmaceutical advertising.
• 2+ years of experience managing performance and progress of junior producers a plus
