Art Director, Marketing Creative
The individual we’re looking for has a sophisticated, clean, modern design aesthetic – a mix of Paul Rand and Swiss Design of the 1940s meets the latest user experience and modern technical iconography. Key requirements for this role include creative strategy and flawless execution of design principles including layout, typography and composition to support business “practice areas,” as well as overall marketing communications. Works very closely with Marketing and Creative to support the accurate and timely delivery of all content deliverables. This is a perfect position for those seeking a “client side” career.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design Execution: Drive the conceptual and stylistic direction to flawlessly execute design deliverables to support campaigns. Maintain creative excellence, while striving for ways to improve innovation and scalability. Blow us away with your work that helps shape a new industry.
Creative Strategy: Work with internal clients - including marketing, sales, HR/recruiting - to develop creative strategy to produce compelling marketing and sales collateral. Successfully communicate design ideas with a strong POV, both verbally and visually. Understand client’s creative briefs, problem-solve and troubleshoot various design issues and challenges.
Technical Proficiency & Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office latest trends in design and evolving digital landscape.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• First-class portfolio. Your website is up to date and ready to share. No PDF’s.
• Ability to translate concepts of creative strategy into meaningful pieces of art that live in a variety of complex mediums, including digital, social, direct mail, events and print
• Exceptional typographic sensibilities both for digital and print.
• Elegant layout and composition that ensures visual communication and brand standards are met
• Outstanding theory, usage and application of color
• Attention to detail to the design and graphic production process
• Ability to develop brand systems and design languages through type and graphics
• Confidence to work as collaborative team member or lead initiatives as an individual contributor
• Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills
• Drive work with exceptional problem-solving skills, time/project management and organizational ability
• Knowledge of web/digital design principles
• Exposure or experience with front-end development a plus, but not required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
REQUIREMENTS:
Your portfolio should include brand work (B2B, a plus), as well as corporate communications.
Education: Minimum Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or other discipline.
Years of Experience: 5-7
