Director, Infrastructure Technology - Architecture
Job Description:
This role will provide management and technical leadership within Affinion’s Global Infrastructure & Operations team. This person will lead the ongoing evolution of the IT infrastructure strategy while driving increased integration and automation across our IT tools. This strategy will encompass people, processes and tools across the global organization. They will also be an interface for working with senior executives in the business, from application development to support strategic initiatives and new business growth. They will manage a global team of architects and tool specialists covering both project and operational support responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead evolution of the IT infrastructure strategy covering Affinion owned, Third Party & Public Cloud data centers, maximizing performance, security & reliability as well as resource & cost efficiency
• Be a positive Ambassador for the Infrastructure function with the business and application development leadership to enable revenue growth
• Partner with global business, application development, security and infrastructure leaders to develop creative solutions to new requirements
• Lead the weekly ARB - Architecture Review Board
• Evaluate IT tools portfolio and develop strategy to increase integration and automation over time
• Provide technical leadership for the design and implementation of key project initiatives
• Provide a positive vision and delivery leadership for continuous improvement initiatives across the IT organization
• Lead a global team of architects & tool specialists
• Provide operational leadership to the tool support teams
Skills:
• Strong and diplomatic verbal and written communications skills across all levels of the organization
• A curiosity for evaluating new technologies or services and determining how they may influence our strategy
• Ability to assess complex systems, business processes and define requirements for solutions
• A strong focus on delivering business value, translating potential technical solutions into realistic business cases and successful projects
• Ability to effectively manage change both within IT and across the organization
• Consistent demonstration of ownership & accountability in fulfilling commitments
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task activities within a fast-paced environment
• Regulatory compliance experience preferred (PCI DSS\SOX\ISO)
Required Experience:
• BA/BS or equivalent experience
• More than 10 years’ experience working in the IT field
• More than 5 years’ experience with infrastructure architecture across a broad range of technologies (data center, network, storage, server & foundational services)
• Experience working in a global organization and managing remote resources
• Exceptional up-beat and optimistic attitude, quick learner with the ability to understand and adapt to new requirements
• Travel as needed
