SUMMARY: FOCUSING ON CREATIVITY, CUSTOMIZATION + CONTENT CREATION
As we continue down the path of Digital transformation, the role of the Group Director of Digital Investment is both an exciting and challenging one. This individual must embrace the operational aspects of building core competencies across their team(s) while also be a driving force for creative ideation and generation in the Digital space. Help to bring strategies to life through custom, innovative and cutting edge Digital programs, looking beyond standard banners. As clients demand innovation and set aggressive saving goals - this candidate must demonstrate a strong appetite for new technology, emerging media, and content and strong understanding of the Digital investment landscape. As much as anything, this individual must be able to be able to navigate the vast and ever expanding digital landscape driving innovation while delivering value and savings for our clients. The key difference between the Group Director role and the AMD role is the orchestration and navigation of resources (internal and external) along with the ability to identify opportunities/partnerships for both client and agency growth and advancement.
WHAT THE JOB DEMANDS – DRIVING INNOVATION AND MAXIMIZING VALUE
Marketplace Authority
• Be versed in both Digital platforms and technology having a POV on hot industry topics and trends
• Be fluent and champion the benefits of the OMG tech and data stack
• Strong marketplace knowledge and relationships
• Identify opportunities that deliver mutual value, savings and revenue for client and agency
Idea Generator + Creative Problem Solver
• Ability to think outside the box and beyond the banner to drive and inspire creativity developing bespoke custom programs and sponsorship alignments elevating client brand(s)
• Innovation comes not just through the form of content but drive for more effective and efficient ways to approach and secure media
• Take calculated risk to test and learn with new partners, platforms and programs identifying “the right” opportunity
Co-Collaborator
• Represent OMD as a Digital marketplace leader, establishing connections and building value through partnerships with enterprise and emerging Digital partners
• Connecting the dots and ensuring the executions and activations ladder back up to strategic vision
• Engage and be a resource for other Digital investment teams by developing and sharing best practices and case studies
• Identify opportunities for collaboration and introduction to OMG resources (Content Collective, Ready Made, etc)
• Participate in various new business opportunities
Operational Steward
• Ensure systematic processes are followed by teams and provide management and enterprise partnership teams with visibility and transparency into investment flow throughout the planning process
• Persistent drive to secure savings and maximizing investment through collaboration across interagency teams
• Enforce continuous optimizations and drive performance and results across all Digital activity
• Be versed on navigating and managing terms and conditions as it relates to both standard IAB terms as well as custom language and addendums
EXPERIENCE NEEDED: TRACK RECORD OF LEADERSHIP
• Track record of managing and executing Digital programs and investments meeting/exceeding both client and agency objective & goals (minimum 7+ years of industry related experience)
• Collaborative nature and experience media owners, agency business units and creative agency partners
• Strong leadership skills to inspire, cultivate and motivate a team
• Process and detail oriented but have the ability to pivot and embrace change
• Strong comfort level with data, analytics and measurement
