We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of programmatic experience that can help lead our clients into the new age of media buying. This person should have strong general problem-solving skills to deal with new challenges as they arise, have excellent communication skills to impart critical information to a broad audience, be organized and detailed oriented, and possess a passion to be a programmatic evangelist. This person knows the programmatic ecosystem and demonstrates a strong working knowledge of RTB, PMPs, DSPs, SSPs/ ad exchanges, and 3rd party data providers. A strong ability to clearly articulate the advantages of programmatic and the value propositions for how 360i plans and executes programmatic is required. The role involves engaging with internal 360i teams - Media, Account, Ad Ops, and Analytics - to evangelize our approach to programmatic solutions and identify areas for improvement/growth digital media growth and improvement through our programmatic solution. Candidates also will be liaising with clients in providing regular deliverables and communicating programmatic updates and innovations relevant to their business. All candidates must be comfortable with working in a cross-office environment and possesses a start-up mentality.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, the Associate Director will work on all areas of programmatic management, performance, desk level operations and client communications
• The Associate Director is responsible for representing the 360i Programmatic Group in delivering client recommendations, strategies, and ensuring that deliverables are met against campaign goals.
• Drive programmatic strategies while leading a team of programmatic specialists and campaign managers that operate in a self-service capacity within DSP platforms to ensure optimal partner selection and cutting edge use of data targeting and audience buying
• Oversee flawless translation of client strategies to media campaign executions specifically for high profile accounts including Shiseido, DSW, and Spotify.
• Ensure optimizations are carried out by the team in a timely fashion and provide final QA and sign off on new media plans before delivery to the client.
• Provide ongoing training, feedback, and coaching to direct reports in order to improve individual as well as team development.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders from Media, Account, and Analytics to produce results that ladder up to clients’ marketing objectives.
• Work with external stakeholders including DSP partners, data and inventory partners to deliver best-in-class recommendations to client on programmatic strategy as well as industry developments including but not limited to brand safety, header bidding, and media transparency.
• Work with Director to ensure and establish COEs (Center of Excellence)/ SME (Subject Matter Expert) initiatives around programmatic and digital trends. Provide leadership around assigning the COEs and project managing them for ongoing larger POVs that will be distributed across the agency on topics covering but not limited to: viewability, verification, fraud, DCO, CRM, and 1st party data.
• Responsible for working on account level road mapping to establish brands’ programmatic strategy and forecast growth opportunities on at least a monthly basis
• Serve as escalation point for programmatic lead on behalf of the client and internal stakeholders for the accounts.
• Help identify areas of opportunity for case study and marketing collateral for quarterly updates to company blog as well as client updates.
• Work with Analytics team to address needs of the trading team when it comes to operationalizing/automating reporting from our various forms of buying and ad serving platforms and to create optimization recommendations based on advanced analytics like audience profiling, post-conversion data, offline-to-online modeling.
• Help Director define areas for Product team to help create best-in-class technology integrations both proprietary and third party, and API feeds for optimizations and targeting.
Qualifications
• At least 5 years of business experience with 2+ focused on benefits of programmatic buying
• At least 2 years of managing a programmatic team (utilizing self-service DSP management vs. managed service)
• Ability to juggle multiple campaigns and projects at the same time.
• Candidates should be familiar with line management and HR responsibilities like objective settings, performance reviews, interviewing/recruiting.
• Understanding of the full life cycle of a campaign including but not limited to briefing, strategy, planning/buying, execution, and reporting
• Candidates should be knowledgeable in working directly in ad servers, research vendors, and measurement partners in addition to programmatic tools (DSPs & SSPs).Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to deal with high pressure situations and tight deadlines from clients
• Advanced presentation skills and ability to craft & tell a story via decks
• Strong understanding of 3rd party tracking and serving technologies, primarily DoubleClick For Advertisers/DoubleClick Campaign Manager
• Great client communication skills and an ability to disseminate information to multiple parties with varying degrees of programmatic and digital knowledge
• Comfortable managing direct reports including entry level to manager experiences
• Great management skills and the ability to inspire team, as well as delegate day-to-day tasks
• Great interpersonal skills and professional attitude to foster relationships with internal teams at 360i
• Ability to prioritize own workload and meet deadlines
• Sales training experience is a plus
• College degree required, preferably in marketing, business, or economics
