Vice President, Corporate Communications - Executive Visibility
We are looking for a public relations vice president, with extensive corporate communications, focusing on executive visibility. This vice president will contribute to the global growth and performance of the firm by working with large, complex client to achieve and exceed our clients goals. This is a client-facing role at the c-suite level where the ability to develop relationships as trusted consul are imperative.
This role will be recognized as an expert in executive visbility, and corporate communications, and will manage diverse internal teams, drive project deliverables, achieve deadlines and deliver outstanding results.
Responsibilities include:
• Driving executive visibility strategies across a number of clients within the Corporate and Financial Communications Practice.
• Strategizing and securing top tier media placements
• Developing and growing senior level client relationships, and acting as a trusted advisor to key clients.
• Counseling and building relationships with peers in the industry and with other internal lines of business.
• Proactively managing client expectations to ensure all issues impacting client satisfaction are addressed.
• Raising the visibility and enhancing the reputation of our clients externally through activities such as published articles or speaking engagements.
Burson-Marsteller's Corporate and Financial Communications Practice offers strategic counsel and execution that is aligned with our client’s business objectives. We deliver expert guidance and implementation support on critical communications issues. Whether the goal is to build awareness and buy-in around a new corporate vision, guide a CEO through the first 100 days of leadership, or design a strategy to reach local constituencies and national influencers, Burson-Marsteller's Corporate Practice develops solutions that sustain corporate value and drive business results.
Required
• Minimum of 8 years of previous public relations work experience - specializing in media relations
• Proven track record of successfully developing and executing highly visible media programs/strategies with a focus on executive positioning/visibility
• Top-tier relationships with business and trade media
• Advanced writing skills, ability to write for senior level management and audiences, and proficiency in editing and composition.
• An in-depth understanding of the client’s business and challenges.
• Ability to manage complex relationships diplomatically and consultatively.
• Ability to think innovatively; develop creative solutions and new programs.
• Ability to manage teams and individuals to enable them to perform to their fullest potential.
• Creative and strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and in-depth analytical skills.
• Previous PR agency experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
